GUWAHATI, Feb 27 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday demanded a CBI inquiry into the killing of All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) president Bosco Chermaco and expressed its apprehension about more violent developments in the State in the run-up to the Assembly elections.

BJP lashes out at congress for CWG corruptions
BJP senior leader Vijay Goel on Wednesday lashed out at congress over the rampant corruption prevalent in the preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Games. He held the central and Delhi governments responsible for the mismanagement of funds and allied outlays concerning the Games. He blamed Delhi chief Sheila Dikshit for ruining the face of the capital in the name of Games. Media reports have questioned the quality of the infrastructure and poor preparation of the venues for the Games.
BJP wants probe into execution of CWG projects
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Vijay Goel on Friday demanded a judicial probe into the alleged corruption in execution of Commonwealth Games projects. Referring to reports of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) putting under the scanner some Games related projects for alleged irregularities, Goel alleged that "substandard materials had been used in the construction all over".
Release Rs 500 cr for Chandni Chowk development: Goel
Demanding better infrastructure, former Union Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel on Friday accused the authorities of "failing to improve" the Chandni Chowk area. Goel, a former MP from Chandni Chowk seat, also criticised HRD Minister Kapil Sibal, who represents the constituency in the Lok Sabha. "I will sit on dharna if things don't change soon," Goel said. Goel seeks Dikshit resignation over Yamuna cleaning issue
New Delhi: BJP leader Vijay Goel on Saturday demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit claiming that the remarks of Sports Minister M S Gill on Yamuna has proved that funds have been "bungled" in the cleaning of the river. "Gill's comment clearly proves that the Centre too finds that Yamuna funds have been bungled by her government. Dikshit should resign," Goel told reporters here.
Goel claims Kalmadi has expelled him from CWG OC membership
New Delhi: BJP Member of Parliament Vijay Goel claimed that he has been expelled from the membership of 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, a development which has the potential to create a fresh controversy. Goel, in an e-mail message to the media houses, claimed that OC Chairman Suresh Kalmadi decided to expel him when he tried to raise the issue of delay in Commonwealth Games preparation and accountability during the Annual General Body meeting of the OC here.
