?Leader of whole Delhi? confident of winning
His idea of relaxation is making his brain work. So Vijay Goel, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from New Delhi constituency, played Solitaire — his favourite game —on his laptop on the eve of the polls. Confident of a win, Goel spent Wednesday organising his workers in poll management teams. He also visited different areas of the constituency to have a direct interaction with the party workers. “I am fighting this election on the basis of my clean image and I am confident of winning by a huge margin,” he said.
Terror, prices, civic issues on mind
The BJP’s Vijay Goel did a Manoj Kumar trying to connect to the urban poor of Kotla Mubarakpur, during one of his many campaign rallies on Sunday. The crowd responded wholeheartedly, singing along and clapping. Goel harped on inflation and unemployment, targeting both the poor and middle-class voters. “During the BJP government’s rule, you could buy sugar for Rs. 18 a kg. But today you have to shell out Rs. 30,” he said. “Inflation has increased and so has your electricity bill because of faulty meter’s.”
Maken?s claims on Master Plan exposed: Goel
NEW DELHI: The BJP candidate for the Lok Sabha from New Delhi, Vijay Goel, said on Tuesday that the recent Delhi High Court order directing closure of nursing homes operating in violation of building by-laws and land use norms had once again shown that Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken had failed to provide any relief to people and businesses in Delhi as was being claimed by him.
(Ajay) Maken is claiming credit for something he opposed: Vijay Goel?
For Vijay Goel, a former union minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, the last four months has seen life come a full circle. From having apparent “differences” with his party’s Delhi Chief Ministerial candidate VK Malhotra after he was snubbed during the states Assembly election, the Sri Ram College of Commerce pass-out is now bracing for a head on collision with Congress heavyweight Ajay Maken from the prestigious New Delhi constituency. Dismissing Maken’s claim of development as rhetoric, the 3-time Member of Parliament Goel shares his vision for the city, amongst other things with Pratik Dogra of zeenews.com.

Unemployment under UPA rule is our poll issue: Goel
