New Delhi, January 20, 2023
Hundreds of students belonging to G-20 countries will participate in ‘G-20 March for World Peace’ on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from Gandhi Darshan, near Rajghat. Diplomats from the G20 countries will also join in this March for World Peace. The March is being organised by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti as part of the celebrations of India taking over the Presidency of G20. India's becoming a global leader will be celebrated through this march.
The marchers will hold their colourful flags and placards with a message of oneness, equality, harmony underlining the theme of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or "One Earth One Family One Future”, which underlines the message of equitable growth and a shared future for all.”
Children will take part in March Past with band performance. Cultural programmes will also be organized on the occasion.
Informing about this Vice Chairman Gandhi Smriti and former Union Minister Vijay Goel informed that the G20 March for World Peace will begin at 10 AM on January 21 from Satyagraha Mandap at Gandhi Darshan at Rajghat. This march will start from Gandhi Darshan and conclude by reaching Chartilal Goel Heritage Park located in front of the historic Red Fort.
Vijay Goel said that it is a matter of pride for us to assume the Presidency of the G20 countries under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. This has made every Indian proud as India is moving towards becoming a world leader under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Through hosting the meeting of G20 countries, we will show the world a glimpse of our strong global leadership.

Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti Vijay Goel welcomed German Federal Foreign Minister Ms. Annalena Baerbock at Gandhi Smriti on December 5, 2022 on her arrival to India.
On her arrival to Gandhi Smriti, Vijay Goel presented Ms. Annelana Baerbock with the spinning wheel, which became Mahatma Gandhi’s symbol of self reliance during India’s freedom movement. Goel also gave took Ms. Annelana to Mahatma Gandhi’s room where he (Gandhiji) had spent the last 144 days of his life till the January 30, 1948, when his epic life ended.
Goel also led Ms. Annalena to the Martyr’s Column the martyrdom site of Mahatma Gandhi, where Ms. Baerbock offered floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.
A member of the delegation accompanying Ms. Annelana Baerbock informed that on reaching India, the first thing that Mrs. Annelana wanted to do, was to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and draw inspiration from his enigmatic life.
Ms. Baerbock is on a two-day official visit to India during which she will sign comprehensive partnership agreements on migration and mobility and focus on ways to ramp up bilateral cooperation, especially in areas of energy, trade and climate change.

G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant and Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti Vijay Goel unveiled the display of the G-20 Logo at Mandi House Chowk on December 1, 2022 on the occasion of India taking over the Presidency of G-20. A large number of youth took part in the programme with fervor.
Speaking on the occasion, Amitabh Kant termed it a historic moment saying that it is a big responsibility for India as the G20 accounts for 85 per cent of the global GDP and two-thirds of the world population.
Kant also said that India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make G-20 action oriented, inclusive, reform-oriented, and forward looking.
In his address Vijay Goel said, “We are congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is also the chairman of Gandhi Smriti, for making India proud. This is a great moment of victory for India under the dynamic leadership of our PM Narendra Modi to become the President of the G-20 Group”.
Goel said that while releasing the logo of G-20 recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that this logo is not just a symbol, but it is an emotion, which runs in our veins. We live and harmonise with the spirit of universal brotherhood through the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam or One Earth, One Family, One Future.”
Goel said, “In fact, in the G-20 logo and theme, we have tried to present a glimpse of our great culture to the world, a culture that is rooted in the Buddha's concept of non-violence and Mahatma Gandhi's message of peace, harmony and universalism”.
The G-20, or Group of 20, is an intergovernmental forum of major developed and developing economies. It comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and nations under the European Union.

Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Vijay Goel will celebrate this special moment by unveiling a display of the G-20 Logo at the busy and bustling Mandi House Chowk (circle) on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11.00 AM. He will also distribute sweets on the occasion.

New Delhi, November 08, 2022': Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan' is going to organize an international conference in the university campus in association with the Delhi University that will focus on commitment of Gandhiji's values and ideals in building a New India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Giving this information, Vice-Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Vijay Goel said that this conference will be inaugurated by the Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, on November 10, 2022, at 3 PM in the Multipurpose Hall, University of Delhi. In the program, along with the Vice President, the Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Rajiv Chandrashekhar, will be especially present, and the inaugural session will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University Prof. Yogesh Singh.
Goel said that the main purpose of organising this programby Gandhi Smriti and Drashan Samiti in association with University of Delhi is that the students and youth of the University should be associated with Gandhiji's thoughts on one side, and the spirit of Swadeshi which has been envisioned by Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi through the new start-ups of the country and also in new research and new industries and technology that should be adopted by the youth.
Goel said that at present, we are developing the country's infrastructure in such a way that from defense to other sectors, we become self-reliant and strengthen the slogan of self-reliance given by the Prime Minister.
Goel also said that in this Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav, India is nourishing its all-round development, its glorious history and culture. India is not only engaged in becoming self-reliant, but is playing an important role in solving the problems of the world.
Goel said, The combination of the three ‘I’s – infrastructure, information and innovation would bring people together towards making India as one of the most powerful nations of the world”.

New Delhi August 13, 2022: Thousands of children participate in a painting competition on the theme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan 'Har Ghar Tiranga' in 'Gandhi Darshan' today.
Vice Chairman of 'Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti' and former Union Minister Vijay Goel said that in this competition people from all corners of Delhi, Haryana, Jaipur, Faridabad had come and made very beautiful pictures of the Tricolour showcasing their unique creativity.
Goel said that a large number of Hindu, Muslim parents of all religions brought their children and they took their photographs with the Tricolours and also encouraged the children to make the National Flag.
Vijay Goel said that while the children were busy in making their paintings, their parents had visited three museums in 'Gandhi Darshan' – My Life is My Message, Rashtriya Swachhatta Kendra, Exhibition on clay models depicting the freedom struggle and the fascinating 3D digital Dome.
Many people came to Gandhi Darshan for the first time and they were elated . The children brought different colours and when they were asked on who gave the slogan 'Har Ghar Tiranga', the children said, our Modi ji, Prime Minister of the country.
Vijay Goel further said that every child was given a children's book on Gandhi ji 'Moniya Khel-Khel Mein' and each participating child would be given certificate of participation and the winners would be given attractive prizes.
Goel also said that these paintings will be put on display through an exhibition and we would like the Prime Minister to see these paintings made by children, because he loves children very much.
Vijay Goel said that such programs would be frequent in ,Gandhi Darshan'. Earlier, a Tricolor padyatra was taken out at Chandni Chowk.
During the competition Vijay Goel went near each participating children and encouraged them. The children and their accompanying parents enthusiastically participated in it.
The parents believed that such a special event inculcates the feeling of patriotism and patriotism in the children and this happy moment will remain for a long time in the memory of children.

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav and Har Ghar Tiranga abhiyaan, a painting competition is being organized in 'Gandhi Darshan', near Rajghat on August 13, 2022. Thousands of children from different schools of Delhi will take part in this competition a painting competition to express their creativity through colours on the theme 'Har Ghar Tiranga'.
Giving this information, Vice-Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti and former Union Minister Vijay Goel said that on August 13, at 4 pm near Rajghat, 'Gandhi Darshan' is being decorated with Tricolor Flags, where children from different schools of Delhi from Class III to Class XII in different age groups will make paintings, in which they will be also show hoisting the Tricolor over the houses in their own unique creative way.
Goel also said that there is lot of enthusiasm among the school children about this competition. He also informed that while the children will be engaged in this creative activity, their accompanying parents will be able to visit three different museums in Gandhi Darshan complex on Gandhian philosophy.
Goel also said that in this competition, children can make a Tricolor flag with any kind/form of colours. Children will also be given information about the importance of all the colors of the Tricolor Flag on this occasion.
This type of competition is being held for the first time in 'Gandhi Darshan'. Earlier, a Tiranga Yatra was taken out at Chandni Chowk. On the one hand, there will be many children and parents who, for the first time, will visit these three museums on 'Gandhian Philosophy', such as ‘My Life is My Message exhibition, secondly – museum showing the freedom struggle through clay models and the third and most attractive 3D Digital Dome. Apart from this, the Rashtriya Swachhatta Kendra Museum, based on digital technology is another attraction which will be open for the visitors.
Every child will be given a certificate and a book on Gandhiji and attractive prizes will be given to those children who come first, second, third.

On the occasion of the world nature conservation day on July 28, 2022, former Union Minister and Vice Chairman Gandhi Smriti evam Darshan Samiti Vijay Goel planted saplings of trees inGandhi Smriti.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Goel said that it is our responsibility to save and conserve nature for our future. Earth has provided us with basic necessities to live like water, air, soil, minerals, trees, animals, food etc. That's why we should keep nature clean and healthy to prevent it from further deterioration.
Speaking about the Indian tradition of planting trees and clubbing it with rituals and festivals, Goel said that By clubbing tree plantation with rituals and festivals, which are pillars of our social life, we make people empathetic towards their local ecology and surroundings.
Goel also said that everything we do affects the world. Even scientists have warned us about mass extinction in the near future.
Goel further said that due to global warming, the temperature is increasing day by day.
Goel said that the main objective of celebrating World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July is to come together and support nature, not exploit it.
Expressing concern over the increasing pollution, Vijay Goel said because of man made natural imbalance we are facing many problems such as global warming, various diseases, natural calamities, increase in temperature etc. Therefore, for the next generation, it is necessary to preserve it.

As a part of India’s 75 years of independence or “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti is celebrating the International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2022 in 36 acre Gandhi Darshan complex near Rajghat. The yoga day celebration will be organized in association with All India Institute of Ayruveda.
Almost 1000 participants that include volunteers, safai sevaks, students from schools and institutions will assemble in the beautiful lawns of Gandhi Darshan near Rajghat to take part in the Common yoga Protocol demonstration on this occasion.
As part of the programme, children will give cultural performances on Mime, Music, Yoga Fusion, Theatre, Dance. There will be live charkha demonstration by students throughout the programme.
Speaking about Yoga Day, former Union Minister and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Shri Vijay Goel, said that Yoga embodies unity of mind and body. It
Boosts immunity, relieves depression, anxiety and stress, strengthens bones, helps in weight loss, increases muscle strength and helps fight infections and respiratory diseases.
Shri Goel further said, “From chronic diseases to deadly diseases like cancer, Yoga is the solution to every problem”.
Reiterating what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said on yoga that it is ‘invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition’, Goel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had revolutionized and popularized yoga to an international level and across the globe today because of this initiative of the Prime Minister is celebrating June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only preaches Yoga, but also practices it”.
Speaking about the theme of celebration of the 8th edition of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) as 'Yoga for Humanity, as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 'Mann ki Baat' address, Goel said that “Yoga invites us to foster peace instead of panic, cultivate calmness instead of chaos, activate awareness instead of aggression, and experience freedom instead of fear”.
Goel also informed that Gandhi Smriti would soon start regular yoga sessions.

नई दिल्ली ; 28 मई, 2022 : गांधी स्मृति एवं दर्शन स्मृति द्वारा वीर सावकर के जयंती पर वीर सावरकर जी को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इस अवसर पर गांधी स्मृति एवं दर्शन के उपाध्यक्ष विजय गोयल ने कहा कि विनायक दामोदर सावकर न सिर्फ एक क्रन्तिकारी थे बल्कि एक बुद्धिजीवी, कवी, अप्रतिम क्रांतिकारी ,समाज सुधारक, दृढ राजनेता एवं ओजस्वी वक्ता थे उनके इन्ही गुणों ने उनको देश के महानतम लोगो की श्रेणी में लेकर खड़ा कर दिया।
हिन्दू राष्ट्र की राजनितिक विचारधारा को विकसित करने का बढ़ा श्रेय सावकर को जाता है वे हिन्दुओ में जातिवाद की परम्परा के खिलाफ थे।
गोयल ने कहा देश के आजादी के लिए वीर सावरकर ने अपने जीवन को दाव पर लगा दिया था और 1911 से 1921 तक वो अंडमान जेल में रहे उन्होंने वहां कड़ी यातनाये सही। उन्हें कोलू में बैल की तरह जोतकर तेल निकलवाया गया। हर बार जब भी उन पर उनके आलोचकों ने आरोप लगाए वो निर्दोष होकर बाहर निकले। सावकर पहले भारतीय थे जिन्होंने पूर्व स्वतंत्रता की मांग की।
गोयल ने कहा ये प्रथम स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे जिन पर स्वतंत्रत भारत की सरकार ने झूठा आरोप लगाया बाद में निर्दोष होने पर माफी सरकार ने माफ़ी भी मांगी।
गोयल ने कहा गांधी स्मृति एवं दर्शन समिति मे देश के 75वे अमृत महोसत्व में हर क्रन्तिकारी एवं स्वतंत्रता सेनानी का सम्मान किया जाता हैं एवं आने वाले समय में सभी महापुरुषों पर अलग अलग कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जायेंगे
गोयल ने कहा गांधी दर्शन में देश के प्रधानमंत्री और गांधी स्मृति के अध्यक्ष नरेंद्र मोदी जी के मन की बात कार्यक्रम को हर बार बड़े स्क्रीन पर दिखाया जाता है कल रविवार को गांधी दर्शन में मन की बात का कार्यक्रम होगा जिसमे कोई भी भाग ले सकता उसके पश्चात् गांधी जी पर भाषण प्रतियोगिता भी होगी.
गोयल ने कहा केवल और केवल वीर सावरकर ने देश की स्वतंत्रता के लिए जो कुर्बानी दी हैं उससे ही उनका मूल्यांकन किया जाए।
महात्मा गांधी और सावरकर जी में अनेक विषयो के बारे में सामान विचार थे जैसे हिन्दू सामाजिक व्यवस्था और हिंदी भाषा इत्यादि।
