On the eve of Prime MinisterShriNarendraModi’s birthday tomorrow on 17 September 2015, thousands of people will be participating in ‘Vikaskidaud’, a run from Ashoka Road to India Gate.
The programme, organised by Sh. Vijay Goel, RajyaSabha MP and former BJP Delhi President, said “Including ‘Lokabhiyan’ over hundreds of non-governmental organisations are participating in the event.” T-shirts will also be given to the people which will have Modiji’s image and Vikaskidaud written on it alongwith the names of different schemes initiated by PM Modi. The participants will also be carrying placards about different Modi schemes in their hands.

The complete Ashoka road stretch will be decorated withdifferent boards about Modi’s schemes with the heading ‘vat vrikshboltahai’ or ‘The Speaking Tree’.
ShriGoel said “People across the country are celebrating Prime Minister’s birthday in their own respective ways by either putting up blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns or organizing other charitable events. On Modiji’s birthday, people are mostly trying to highlight the different schemes launched by him. People have faith in Modi’s government and it is only his policies, they believe, that can bring about significant development in the country.”
ShriGoel also said that people are getting themselves registered for the run in huge numbers.
Goel congratulated ABVP on their huge victory in DUSU elections
Rajya Sabha MP and former BJP Delhi President Shri Vijay Goel today congratulated the Delhi University students for the huge victory of ABVP in Delhi University elections. Goel has earlier been the President of DUSU.
Goel said that the youth and students who had come forward to support the AAP government in Delhi six months back are now feeling disillusioned with the Delhi government. The way AAP govt has spent money in the Delhi University elections and the way they tried to tempt the students through different freebies like reducing Metro fares, free Wi-fi, giving advertisements in newspapers about students’ loans and not paying rent for paying guests in colonies have not gone well with the youth of Delhi. The Delhi students have outrightly rejected all these allurements.
Delhi University’s ABVP win has proven that the government that was created six months back in Delhi has lost its position and is now at number three. The influence of AAP party has significantly reduced among the youth of the country.
Shri Goel also said that the win has shown that students and workers have faith in the policies and development programmes of Shri Narendra Modi. The youth and students want to take the country ahead and this is the sole reason why they are supporting Modi and allied organizations.
Goel has congratulated the youth and wishes that the elected representatives will live upto the responsibilities they have been entrusted with and they will certainly come forward to solve the problems of the students.
Hundreds of Muslims participated in yoga at Goel’s residence
On the behest of PM Narendra Modi, International Yoga Day will be organized in the country on 21 June. Hundreds of Muslim brothers participated in the Yoga programme today which was organized by BJP MP Shri Vijay Goel at his residence. Many Mulla-Maulavis also participated in the event. In the programme, BJP Vice-President Mr. Ram Jaju was also present.
The Acharya present in the programme, Acharya Ved Bhushan helped everyone perform various yoga postures including anulom-vilom, Kapalbhatti, Pranayam and Bhasrika. The Muslim community participated in the programme with great enthusiasm.
Shri Goel said some Muslim friends had met him a while back and had expressed their interest to be a part of the yoga movement so that it sends out a message that the Muslim community supports the endeavours of PM Modi in organizing the International Yoga Day.
A few fundamentalist groups have tried to agitate the religious sentiments by linking yoga with religion. Through the programme today, a message has been sent out that the Muslims are a part of the country’s national and cultural activities.
Shri Goel also said that yoga is a mental and physical exercise and is a part of the human system. 177 nations of the world have joined the yoga movement. Except Yemen, people from almost all the Muslim nations will participate in the yoga activities all across the country.
Shri Jaju said that on 21st June, International Yoga Day, a large number of people from the Muslim community will take part in the yoga activities. People from different religion and communities will participate in the yoga activities to be held all over the country. People from diverse backgrounds can adopt yoga in their own way while worshipping their own religion.
Social activist Shri Firoze Bakht Ahmed said yoga is not linked to any religion and Namaaz also has many yoga postures. Shri Abdul Rashid, Shri Aatif Rashid and many others also presented their views.
Modi has ended UPA gloom, says Vijay Goel
: Former Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Vijay Goel took out a ‘Vikaas Yatra’ today on the achievements of Modi government where thousands of people gathered to be a part of it. People from more than hundreds of organizations and party workers enthusiastically participated in the event. The volunteers who participated in the ‘Vikaas Yatra’ held placards in their hands about the social schemes of Modi government. An exhibition was also organized on the achievements of Modi government in the past one year. The gathering was addressed by National General Secretary (Org) Shri Ramlal ji, MP Shri Mahesh Giri, MP Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Sh Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Sh. Mange Ram Garg and Delhi Mayor.
Shri Goel said we need to make sure that the social schemes initiated by the Modi government reach every single household of the country. Congress party has not done any work in the past ten years and now hassled by the achievements of Modi government in the past one year, it is trying to mislead the people.
Shri Goel also said that there are five distinct works done by Modi government, the government took fast decisions, marked an end to corruption, inflation, initiated new schemes for the common man and overall ended the hopeless environment in the country.
Shri Ramlal ji said that it is the first time that a government has done so much work in the first year and all surveys are clearly indicating that people are happy with the work of Modi government in the past one year and want the development work by the government to continue. Shri Ramlal ji also said that the there is a misleading campaign going on against the land acquisition bill. It is for the first time that farmers are being compensated well for the loss in the damage of crops.
BJP MP Mahesh Giri said that Modi ji has provided benefits to all the sections of the society and schemes have also been initiated to increase employment opportunities in the country.
BJP MP Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi said that Modi government initiated the Beti Bachao, Beti Padao, gave maximum benefit through LPG subsidy and paid special attention to women education and security.
Shri Vijay Kumar Malhotra said that these kind of programmes should be organized more frequently so that people can get to know more about the work done under Modi’s initiatives esp Make in India and Adarsh Gram Yojana.
Whereas Aam Aadmi Party is engaged in controversies (vivaad), BJP is doing concrete development work (vikaas).

It has never happened before that the government has presented its one year report and the opposition is protesting against it.

Kejriwal should pay more attention to ‘vikaas’ than ‘vivaad’
Former Delhi BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Vijay Goel said that Arvind Kejriwal hurriedly made baseless allegations against the central government at the press conference. He is unnecessarily trying to politicize the issue and trying to entangle Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the same.
It is sad that, on one hand, he says that he will get the notification examined and seek advise from the Constitution experts and on the other, without getting the notification examined and without seeking advise, in a rush, he has targeted the central government.
Through this notification, the government does not want him to interfere in the matters of the central government. The central government has already waged a war against the menace of corruption. Now he is involved in a constitutional row with the Lieutenant-Governor. In order to hide the failures of his government, he is unnecessarily blaming others. He has lost the trust of the bureaucrats and officers and by saying that the whole transfer-posting industry is corrupt; he is calling all the officers ‘corrupt’.
The Delhi chief minister should pay attention to ‘vikaas’ of Delhi and not ‘vivaad’. This issue is related to the constitution and is not political in nature. We are asking for the full statehood of Delhi because Delhi doesn’t have any rights.
Goel urges for the simplification of the Income Tax forms
Former BJP Delhi President and MP Shri Vijay Goel during the Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha today appealed that the Income Tax forms need to be simplified.
He said, “The income tax forms are 14page long and require unnecessary information including details of all bank accounts and foreign travels. This impinges on the privacy of tax payers.”
The income tax forms, ITR-1 and ITR-2 require to furnish the number of bank accounts held by the individual including opened or closed, with the last balance in the account as on 31 March of the concluded fiscal year. The person is also required to furnish the name of the bank, account number, address, IFSC code and joint holder’s name.
With regard to foreign travel, the form seeks details of the passport number, place of issuance, countries visited, number of times visited and expenses incurred in case of a resident taxpayer.
This is harassing for tax payers and makes filing tax returns a headache. Shri Goel urged that the form should be a two page document in a simplified manner which will help all taxpayers. Further, he said that other forms also need to be simplified on the same pattern for the benefit of people.
People should be given at least 2 months to make alternate arrangements before their vehicles are confiscated
Rajya Sabha MP and Former BJP Delhi President Shri Vijay Goel said the ban by National Green Tribunal on diesel vehicles older than 10years has been passed in a hurry.
Although a correct decision, the decision has come late and has been suddenly put across the public. People should be given at least 2 months to make alternate arrangements before their vehicles are confiscated.
Pointing out that a similar decision was taken last November by National Green tribunal to ban 15 year old vehicles, Mr. Goel said that the government was not able to implement the decision and now a more stricter law has been adopted to ban 10 year old vehicles. Will the National Green Tribunal only pass laws or also look into how these laws will be implemented.
Set aside vehicles that are 10-year old, 8-year old vehicles will also not find buyers in the market. The people in this case will be affected the most, who own private vehicles, to the total of almost 5,38,000 and out of these around 1,50,000 are more than 10 year old.
Shri Goel also said that he tried to contact the Chief Secretary of Delhi but he was out of town. Further he pointed out that this ban is unfair, as the order was passed yesterday and the vehicles are being confiscated today itself. This will also give rise to the corruption levels in the city.
He also said that in order to save the environment in Delhi, the tribunal should motivate people to buy CNG cars by decreasing the excise duty and registration fee and at the same time, it should increase the excise duty and registration fee for diesel cars. This will motivate people to buy petrol and CNG cars on their own.
Shri Goel also said that while passing such laws, the Motor Vehicle Act should also be amended simultaneously.
Not only diesel cars, Delhi should also speed up the bypass projects to decrease the 80,000 number of trucks that enter Delhi every day. Apart from this, the tribunal should meet elected representatives to take more steps regarding this issue.
Goel strongly opposes the hike in water tariff by 10percent
The newly formed Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has put a heavy burden on the common man by increasing the water tariffs by ten percent.
Opposing the increase, Rajya Sabha MP and Former BJP Delhi President Shri Vijay Goel today said that it is a fraud with the people of Delhi.
Goel said that the government has announced free water worth Rs.65 because 20,000 litres of water costs Rs.65.
Further, he said that this price increase will hit the people who utilize 20,000-30,000 litre of water every month because they were already paying Rs. 20 per litre and will now have to pay Rs. 22 per litre . Most people fall into this category.
It was Aam Aadmi Party leaders who previously protested against the fast meters being installed in Delhi. Now, despite the opposition of the public, the same meters are being fitted in every household. Threat notices are also being sent for fitting these meters in Delhi.
He further said that after the installation of these meters, most of the people who are supposed to get free water and fall in the category of utilizing 20,000 litres of water, will subsequently be moved to the next category bearing the tariff of Rs. 22 per month.
Goel said that BJP strongly opposes the tariff hike. The Aam Aadmi Party has been besieged by infighting and is least bothered about the development of the city. The leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party after coming to power are neither listening to the people nor to their leaders.
The Budget is growth-oriented and will curb black money practices- Goel
Rajya Sabha MP and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel today said that the budget presented by the Finance Minister is a growth-oriented budget and will benefit all sections of the society.
The Budget has for the first time created a universal social security scheme for all sections of the society by providing accidental insurance, pension schemes, senior citizen benefits and starting new welfare schemes like 'Nayi Manzil' for the unemployed minority youth.
Shri Goel said, “Don’t go by the up or down in the share market, the budget is not share-market oriented but growth-oriented.” He further said that this budget will take India’s development story to new heights.
Through the budget, the government has sought to address several critical issues including the issue of black money. The provision of a new comprehensive, tough law on black money and the establishment of new structures like e-filing will curb such practices.
The budget, Goel said, will prove to be a realistic roadmap to achieve sustainable economic growth. Giving a boost to the economy, the budget will revamp the nation’s industry with the thrust on ‘Make in India’ programme.
