BJP assures special welfare measures for Delhi Police with fixed working hours and better housing especially for junior cops: Vijay Goel

Underlining the poor working conditions for especially the junior level cops in Delhi, Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today assured that that as a part of police reforms the BJP government in Delhi will implement special welfare measures for police personnel. He said it is unfortunate that the police personnel’s working conditions in Delhi have been grossly neglected by the Congress government during the last 15 years.

Shri Goel said, “Duty hours of police personnel will be fixed except under extraordinary circumstances to ensure better efficiency. The housing facility will be provided to police personnel right from the Constabulary level. Ration Money, that was approved and implemented in 2003 under NDA rule, will be revived.”

“When BJP is voted to power, existing vacancies in Delhi Police will be filled and additional recruitment will be made so that security of the city is not compromised with. Adequate number of women police personnel will be employed and deployed. The Congress government has ignored the pressing need for increased participation of women police personnel in Delhi in the wake of sharp spurt in crimes against women in the city,” Shri Vijay Goel said.

Shri Goel further said, “There have been reports of police personnel working under tremendous stress leading to several health problems among them. When voted to power, the BJP will set up mechanism for targeted counseling of the police personnel. Time bound promotion of police staff will be ensured and salary related discrepancies will be addressed.”

The Delhi Police are understaffed by some 4,000 personnel. Further, according to the Bureau of Police Research and Development, there is an urgent need for creation of 16,486 posts to increase the workforce in different ranks in the Delhi Police.

According to a medical survey conducted last year, bulk of policemen in Delhi suffer from serious health issues, ranging from cardiac problems, alcoholism, insomnia, giddiness, hypertension to depression.

Shri Goel said that these issues will be adequately addressed by the BJP government after the elections. Infrastructure of police stations in Delhi will be improved. He said that though there are lots of challenges before the Delhi Police, appropriate measures and policies if taken earnestly will provide the right environment for police personnel as well as people in the city.

Congress stooped to new low fearing success of Modi rally at Dwarka: Vijay Goel

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today lashed out at the Congress party for stooping to a new low by running personal campaign against BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi. Pamphlets targeting Shri Modi personally were inserted in today's newspapers which is highly deplorable.

He said that this is an act of desperation by the Congress and it only reflects Congress’ frustration at the growing popularity and mass appeal of Shri Modi.

Shri Goel said, “The Congress party knows that it has lost political ground in Delhi and elsewhere. So it  has stooped to a new low in electoral politics by trying to tarnish image of Sh. Modi.”

“The fact that Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have resorted to similar smear campaigns against BJP leaders is another proof that they are working hand in glove. But, they must remember that spreading false personal propaganda against their political opponents is not good for democracy and electoral politics.

Delhi has maintained a standard of electoral politics over the years but Congress and AAP have broken all norms of decency in desperation,” Shri Goel said.

Highlighting the failures of the Congress government at the rally at Dwarka, Sector-14, DDA Park today, Shri Goel said, “Dwarka sub-city has severe shortage of water supply as the Congress government has paid no attention to the pressing demands of the people.”

In the last 15 years of its misrule, the Congress has only managed to deliver unprecedented rise in prices, acute water and power problems, corruption in the rank and file of government and a highly unsafe Delhi for women.

Shri Goel further said, “Almost half of Delhi does not get clean drinking water from the Delhi Jal Board. Over 40% of Delhi has no access to sewage. "

The Delhi BJP is geared up to organize a series of public rallies to be addressed by Sh. Narendra Modi on November 30 and December 1. The focus of these rallies will be to highlight Delhi BJP's positive agenda for the city and expose the misrule of the Congress.

Local manifesto reflects issues and aspirations of local residents: Vijay Goel

he Delhi BJP today released its first local manifesto for the Delhi Assembly polls for Model Town constituency. It was released by Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel and party’s Chief Ministerial candidate Dr. Harsh Vardhan at the Delhi BJP headquarters at Pt Pant Marg. Delhi BJP Treasurer and party’s candidate from Model Town constituency, Shri Ashok Goel was present at the release of the manifesto.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Vijay Goel said, “BJP is releasing local manifestos for assembly constituencies to fix constituency specific accountability. People want local area development programmes and local manifestos spell out such specific programmes. Local manifesto for Model Town addresses the issues concerning the people of the constituency and BJP’s promise to address these issues. Similar manifestos, prepared by respective party candidates for other assembly segments will be released in days to come.”

Shri Vijay Goel further said, “The BJP will release its state level manifesto in next couple of days. The state level manifesto has its limitations as it cannot address the specific concerns of all the assembly constituencies. It will reflect the common concerns of all the constituencies and the BJP’s positive agenda to address those concerns to bring Delhi on the path of all round progress.”

BJP candidate from Model Town, Shri Ashok Goel said, “The local manifesto for Model Town has been prepared after extensive parleys held over a series of meetings with the people of the constituency. The inputs from RWAs, traders’ associations and civil societies have been incorporated into the manifesto. This is an output of the collective will of all the communities living in Model Town.”

Shri Ashok Goel further said, “All the promises made in the manifesto will be fulfilled in a time-bound manner. Specific programmes will be implemented in fully transparent manner. All the localities of Model Town will be transformed over the next five years.”

Congress manifesto lacks vision, same old promises are repeated: Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party President Shri Vijay Goel today slammed Congress for repeating the same old promises in its manifesto which it fails to keep. He also demanded that Congress should clarify its stand on privatisation of water which has resulted in whooping water bills.

Shri Goel said, the Congress manifesto exposes its anti-people approach as it does not talk about reduction power and water tariffs and bringing down prices of essential commodities. No concrete vision or plan about ensuring safety of women is mentioned in it, only lip service has been paid.

While addressing people during his padyatras and election campaigning in Babarpur, Rohtas Nagar, Seemapuri and Gokulpuri assembly constituencies for BJP candidates Shri Naresh Gaur, Shri Jitendra Mahajan Shri Rampal Singh and Shri Ranjeet Kashyap , he lambasted the Congress for its doublespeak in the manifesto.

Following are the key points from comments made by Shri Goel in context of Congress manifesto:

Price Rise: Congress manifesto provides no solution to the problem of price rise. Only lip service has been paid by promising subsidised pulses and edible oil.  Why can’t the government bring prices down instead of talking about subsidies? We all know that subsidies are not sustainable in the long run. This shows that Congress is least bothered about finding solutions to problems of price rise.  BJP would ensure proper supply of essential commodities round the year.  Long terms contracts will be done with suppliers to bring down costs, PDS will be revamped and made corruption and leakage free, cooperative stories on the lines of super bazars will be encouraged with financial and technical support from Delhi government.

Women Safety: Despite the government facing flak for failing to crack down on crime against women, the Congress party’s manifesto seems to have failed to come up with any promise to make Delhi safer for women.

The Congress manifesto’s five point agenda on ‘Law and order: Focus on Women’ includes rather uninspiring measures such as special training of police force, gender training and increase women in the work force. The BJP strongly feels that there has to be complete modernisation of police force in Delhi, a special protection force for women is to be required. We also need fast track courts for such cases. But none of these measures are listed in Congress manifesto!

Statehood: Like 2008, Congress has made promise for full statehood. But what stopped Congress from getting full statehood  when there has been a Congress-led government at the Centre for nine years and Congress government in Delhi for 15 years. NDA led government had brought a bill on statehood to Delhi in 2003 but Sheila Dikshit and Congress in fact opposed it.

Laadli Scheme: To extend Ladli Scheme (that provides Rs 1 lakh financial assistance to a girl child who completes Class XII) to Qabil ladli (of additional Rs 50,000 to college going girls). But even the existing Ladli scheme has proved to be complete flop. The CAG report clearly says that almost half of the beneficiaries are getting dropped out of this scheme.

Education: Congress manifesto is saying that they will open new schools and start evening colleges. In last 15 years the Congress government has closed down atleast 80 government schools, not opened a single new college in DU and what stopped them from starting evening shift in all colleges of Delhi University?  The ground reality is quite different from their promises. Most of their promises have always remained on paper!

Shri Goel also slammed the Aam Aadmi Party for trying to misguide the people of Delhi by making promises on aspects, which fall outside the purview of Delhi government.

Shri Goel said, “AAP’s promise for the passage of Jan Lokpal Bill is a fake promise as even Anna Hazare said that it can only be passed by Parliament and not the Delhi Vidhan Sabha. AAP promises to give Delhi a full statehood ignoring the fact that it can only by granted by Parliament. AAP seems to have no idea about the federal scheme of India under the Constitution.”

The Delhi BJP has made its stand on all the critical issues very clear in its statements in recent times. The BJP reiterates its commitment to the progress of Delhi and welfare of people in the city. When voted to power, BJP will provide corruption free governance in Delhi

AAP is ‘B’ team of Congress, ditched Anna, misused IAC fund: Goel

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is hand in glove with the Congress party. He said that the AAP is using the name of senior leader Anna Hazare for its political campaign even though Anna Hazare has raised objections to it.

Addressing a press conference, Shri Goel said, “We have always maintained Aam Aadmi Party is ‘B’ team of the Congress party. AAP has been working to discredit Anna Hazare, on the lines of the Congress party. Recent developments prove this. Anna Hazare has questioned use of his name for the political campaign of AAP, whose very creation was contested by Anna Hazare.”

Shri Goel said, “The Aam Aadmi Party is trying to mislead the people of Delhi in the garb of fighting corruption and noble ideals of governance. The reality is that AAP is using huge amount of unaccounted money to fund its poll campaign in Delhi. But, it must remember that merely by resorting to rhetoric, it cannot befool the people of Delhi.”

Shri Goel further said, “The actions of several members of the AAP including its convenor Arvind Kejriwal have raised many questions over the very purpose of the party. AAP should come out clean on these questions especially those related to misuse of India Against Corruption fund, receiving illegal donations for the party and projecting Anna Hazare as an associate member of the AAP.”

Jan Manch, formed by the activists of India Against Corruption (and former colleagues of Arvind Kejriwal) has charged Kejriwal with embezzlement of donation money to the tune of Rs 85 lakh collected during Anna Hazare's movement against corruption in Delhi. Now, Anna himself has questioned the misuse of that fund.

AAP calls itself the Aam Aadmi Party, but when it announced candidates, 11 of them turned out to be crorepatis. The list of AAP candidates includes 13 such names, which were part of either Congress or BJP till recently; one each from Janta Dal and CPM while two contested, and won, the last elections as independent candidates. All of them were earlier termed corrupt politicians by the AAP leaders.

Rahul Gandhi has sharp disconnect from ground realities of Delhi : Goel

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today expressed surprise over the sharp disconnect of the Congress Vice-president from the ground realities of Delhi. He advised the Congress Vice-president not to depend on the statistics provided by the Delhi Chief Minister or her government as that is grossly misleading.

Shri Goel made these remarks while holding public meetings in support of BJP candidates, Dr. Mahinder Nagpal from Ashok Vihar and Shri Ravinder Bansal from Shalimar Bagh assembly constituencies.

Shri Goel said, “The Congress Vice-president feels Delhi has become world class city, which far from the ground realities. A report prepared by the Urban Development Ministry of the UPA says that Delhi has failed on basic urbanization parameters such as electricity, drinking water and poverty index. Congress Vice-president should not depend on the incorrect and misleading figures supplied by the Congress government of Delhi.”

“Can someone call a city developed and government efficient, if it cannot construct a sanitary landfill site, a night shelter, an old age home or a mega bus terminus? There are huge gaps in demand and supply of basic amenities in various parts of the city,” Shri Goel said.

“There are several households which do not have electricity connection. Ironically, the situation was better in 2001, just a couple of years after the BJP demitted office in Delhi, than in 2011. The planned urban growth is visibly far from reality. The Urban Development Ministry’s report of July, 2013 makes it amply clear. Despite, the Congress is trying to mislead the people of Delhi," Shri Goel said.

Shri Goel further said, “Roads of Delhi among the worst managed in the country. The Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi government claims to be spending about Rs. 3000 crores on the maintenance of the roads. But, all the major roads of Delhi are full of potholes and the monsoon recently exposed the tall claims made by the Congress government. The Chief Minister, herself, was reported to offer prayers to rain god so that Delhi could be spared.”

Shri Goel said, “The Congress Vice-president calls Delhi a city of migrants. But, the Delhi Chief Minister and Union Home Minister have shown anti-migrant attitude and blamed them squarely for the rising crimes in Delhi. The Congress government of Delhi has been biased against the migrants living in unauthorized colonies. The government creates obstacles for Municipal Corporations in carrying out development works in unauthorized colonies.”

About 60 lakh people are living unauthorized colonies. The Congress Vice-president gave them fake regularization provisional certificates recently as no facilities have been made available to them. Similar trick was played upon the people living in the unauthorized colonies before the 2008-assembly elections.

The Chief Minister of Delhi promised to build 60,000 affordable homes under Rajiv Ratan Awas but only about 15, 000 was built. Ironically, not a single house has been allotted to the poor. Even the Public Distribution System has collapsed in Delhi while the flawed food security scheme has been a non-starter.

Delhi lacks adequate number of buses as well as an efficient surface transport system. As per the joint study by Institute of Urban Transport (India) and Urban Mass Transit Company Limited, the availability of public transport (buses and Metro) in Delhi per 1,000 people is a shocking 0.504. The average waiting time for all 517 DTC bus routes is 70 minutes, because of the less frequent bus trips in sparsely populated undeveloped areas. Out of a total of 6,455 buses in Delhi, only 2,202 (i.e. 34 %) are according to urban bus specifications.

Goel visits various parts of Delhi under ‘Badlo Dilli Padyatra’ campaign

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today campaigned in various parts of Delhi as part of the ‘ Badlo Dilli Padyatra’ campaign. Shri Goel visited Railway Line JJ Colony in Zakhira, Janakpuri, Roop Nagar and Kamla Nagar localities to give further boost to the prospects of the BJP candidates for the Delhi assembly polls.

Shri Goel attended a havan ceremony at the election office of former Delhi Minister and BJP candidate from Janakpuri assembly constituency, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi. He accompanied BJP candidate from Model Town constituency Shri AshokGoel, who filed his nomination today at the Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalay No. 01, Ludlow Castle amidst huge cheers of the large number of supporters. Shri Vijay Goel also inaugurated the election office of Sh. Ashok Goel.

Earlier during the day, he undertook a padyatra at Zakhira and Interacted with the residents of the JJ Colony in Zakhira, ShriGoel said, “Development of JJ Colonies has been ignored by the Congress government in the last 15 years. Residents of the Railway Line JJ Colony of Zakhira should be rehabilitated. The BJP, when voted to power, will rehabilitate residents of JJ Colonies as promised under slogan, ‘Jahan Jhuggi, Wahin Makan.”

“The rehabilitation track record of the Congress government has been poor. 22 Jhuggi bastis were destroyed to raise the commonwealth village for the corruption ridden CWG. Mere 20% of the population was relocated in Bawana, which is a deserted field with no public utility services in the periphery of Delhi. Rest 80% of the population of the 22 slums was left to fend for themselves in the streets,” Sh. Goel said.

Shri Goel said, “The poor are the worst affected by the unprecedented price rise and widespread corruption in the rank and file of the Congress government. Prices of vegetables have risen by over 78% and of onions by over 278% for October on an annual basis. The rate of food inflation is still over 18%. The overall inflation is at the seven month high at the wholesale price index (WPI). The retail inflation is worse.”

Shri Goel further said, “Corruption has become the order of the day under the Congress government. The CWG scam, the power scam, the transport scam, misuse of public money for political campaign and now a new scam in the Delhi Jal Board, whose chairperson is the Chief Minister herself- all these scams have piled up on the miseries of the common people. When voted to power, the BJP will bring corruption-free development.”

According to a Union Urban Development Ministry report, Delhi under the Congress government has failed on basic urbanization parameters such as electricity, drinking water and poverty index. The report is titled "Strategy for Planned Urbanisation in the States and Union Territories of India" has been prepared by National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) after studying the urban changes in the country over the last decade.

The report says that the value of land is soaring even as there is little space available to build essential facilities such as public dispensaries, hospitals, bus terminals and night shelters. So many people are dying every winter due to freezing cold conditions in the Capital.

The report highlights that there are several households which do not have electricity connection. Interestingly, the situation was better in 2001 than in 2011. The planned urban growth is visibly far from reality.

CBI should question Chief Minister who heads Delhi Jal Board: Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party President Shri Vijay Goel today said that Delhi’ites are going to be forced to pay higher water tariffs due to massive scams in Delhi Jal Board.  He said that new  “scam” is taking place in DJB as tender has been floated last month for installation of 4 lakh more water metres and the tender conditions are tailor made to suit certain players.

The CBI should look into this scam in making and it should immediately question Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit who heads the Delhi Jal Board for this new tender as well as the previous scams which are now under CBI’s scanner.

Addressing a press conference, Shri Goel said, “We have also come to know that a new tender has been floated in the month of October 2013 for installation of another 4 lakh metres and again the terms and conditions of tender are tailor made to suit two particular companies which were awarded the earlier tender also.

A massive scam has already taken place with 4 lakh water metres being installed earlier this year at the rate of Rs. 6500 per metre while the actual cost is Rs. 3500 per metre. The terms and conditions of this tender was tailor made to benefit two particular companies.”

The additional burden due to superficially escalated costs will ultimately be passed on to the consumers in the form of higher water tariff. The CBI has also registered a preliminary enquiry in this case. We have been saying for long that scam is brewing up in the Delhi Jal Board in connivance with the Congress government. Now, with the CBI inquiries in four cases our stand is vindicated. All the related details of the water supply projects for Nagloi, Malviya Nagar and Mehrauli should be made public immediately.”

Shri Goel said, “It is clear that the DJB tailor made the conditions in the tender to suit particular companies. It is a very serious matter. The Chief Minister as head of Delhi Jal Board is directly responsible for the scam. Several representations by several people and organizations were made to the CM and the Delhi Jal Board CEO but they did not act on them. These complaints were brushed under the carpet and more than Rs. 900 crore were squandered away in four projects which are now under CBI scanner.”

Shri Goel further said, “The metres installed at such high cost are faulty. They over bill the consumers as even when air passes through taps from the water pipelines, these metres start running adding to the water bills. That is one of the reasons leading to whooping water bills in lakhs of rupees.”

Shri Goel said, “The Delhi BJP demands a complete probe into the latest tendering process for installing these metres. We also demand that all test reports of Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI), Palkkad, Kerala regarding these metres should be made public.

Shri Goel said, “This is a clear case of cartelization. It cannot happen without political patronage and connivance of senior officials.”

The affairs of the Delhi Jal Board have been murkier under the Congress regime. The CAG said that one in every four persons in Delhi gets just 3.82 liters of water a day against the prescribed 172 liters a day and a minimum of 40 liters as recommended by the World Health Organization.

More than 1000 percent increase in water tariff has been effected over the last 15 years. Despite so many hikes in water tariff, the quality of water supplied to homes in Delhi has worsened. More than 80 percent of the water samples of the Delhi Jal Board failed test in 2012.

The CAG report mentions about the irregularities in the affairs and working of the Delhi Jal Board. The CAG found that the state exchequer suffered a loss of Rs. 3950 crore in three years due to poor functioning of the DJB. Moreover, water supply of the Delhi Jal Board is not available to half of Delhi.

Over Rs. 550 crore has been spent by the Delhi government to build Munak Canal but not even a drop of water has reached Delhi from this canal! The water treatment plants in Delhi are completely mismanaged and working to the extent of only 40-50 % of their designed capacity.  This speaks volumes about the total failure of the DJB. The latest findings by the CBI only strengthens BJP’s doubt that the Delhi Jal Board has turned into a platform for vested interests in the Congress government presided over by the Chief Minister herself.

BJP will reduce power tariff by 30% , re-introduce single point connection scheme for JJ clusters: Goel

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today launched his ‘Badlo Dilli’ Padyatra from Lalbagh area in the Model Town assembly constituency. The ‘Badlo Dilli’ Padyatra was flagged off by the BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Dr. Harsh Vardhan.  Shri Ashok Goel, Delhi BJP treasurer and  BJP's candidate from Model Town assembly seat was also present on the occasion.   The "Badlo Dilli Yatra" will be taken by the Delhi BJP President all over Delhi with next venue being chosen as Sangam Park.

Interacting with the local residents of Lalbagh, Shri Vijay Goel said, “The Congress government has neglected the development of Lalbagh and other slums in Delhi. These areas have undergone deterioration instead of progress under the 15-year misrule of the Congress. The Congress government has failed to provide even the basic amenities in slums, where lakhs of people are living in Delhi.”

Shri Vijay Goel reiterated that the BJP will reduce power tariff by 30% when it comes to power in Delhi. It will also provide power supply through single point scheme in all JJ clusters when it comes to power in Delhi. The BJP had initiated this scheme during late Sahib Sinbgh's tenure as Chief Minister. This scheme will be revived back to lower the power bills of the poos household substantially, he added.

Shri Goel further said, “The ‘Badlo Dilli’ Padyatra will be undertaken in all the slums in Delhi to expose the Congress’ double-speak on the issue of development. Persistent high inflation, high water and power tariff and systemic corruption under the Congress regime have worsened the living conditions in Lalbagh like areas of Delhi.”

Shri Ashok Goel said, “The neglect of the Congress government of slums of Delhi is evident from the match-box like huts in Lalbagh. The BJP will provide all the basic amenities to all such areas when elected to power with proper urban planning.”

“The Congress representative of the Model Town has neglected development of the entire constituency. But, Lalbagh bears the brunt of Congress’ apathy. Basic facilities like water, power, hospital, schools and the like are not easily accessible to people in Lalbagh. People of Model Town will teach Congress a lesson this time.”

In the run up to the last Vidhan Sabha elections congress promised to provide housing to slum dwellers. Lakhs of application forms were submitted under the Rajiv Ratan Awas Yojna. But, the Congress government has not allotted a single flat to any of the applicants.

No provision has been made for providing  quality education to children of slum dwellers and in instances where the children are going to schools, the schools do not have the basic infrastructure resulting in children losing interest and dropping out of school.

Goel to launch ‘Badlo Dilli’ Padyatra to expose Congress’ anti-poor policies

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel will tomorrow hit the street with an extensive 'Badlo Dilli' Padyatra all over Delhi to expose the Congress' anti-poor policies and share positive agenda of the BJP for the poor and marginalized sections of society. Shri Goel will launch his Padyatra from Lalbagh near Vijay Cinema in the Model Town constituency.

Addressing a press conference, Shri Goel said, “The purpose of the 'Badlo Dilli' Padyatra is to bring back the poor and marginalized sections of society into focus. The Congress has neglected the poor and marginalized sections during its 15-year misrule. The Congress government has further pushed them towards the fringes of development.”

Shri Goel said, “The anti-poor policies of the Congress government will be exposed during the 'Badlo Dilli' Padyatra, which will be undertaken in large number of assembly segments. We will also share the BJP’s vision for the uplift of the poor and marginalized sections of society.”

Shri Goel further said, “The food security scheme launched by the Congress government is a non-starter and fell apart within a few weeks of its launch. The government has destroyed the Public Distribution System. When voted to power, the BJP will revamp the PDS in Delhi on the Chhattisgarh Model, which has been hailed worldwide for its efficiency and success.”

The Congress government had claimed that the food security scheme, which was launched with much hype and hoopla, would provide cheap foodgrains to about 74 lakh people of Delhi. The poor are not getting the foodgrains as large majority of the poor have not even got the requisite food card.

“The resettlement of the poor has been overlooked by the Congress government all these years. The BJP will provide affordable housing to the poor under its slogan, ‘Jahan Jhuggi, Wahin Makan’. The poor will not be displaced rather the BJP will provide all the basic civic amenities to people living in JJ Clusters and slums in Delhi,” Shri Goel said.

The Congress has befooled the poor with false promises of providing housing to the poor. But, despite the promise of providing 60,000 houses, the Congress government constructed just about 15,000 houses under Rajiv Ratna Yojana. Worse still, it has not allotted even a single house to the targetted beneficiaries.

The CAG report (FY 2011-12) on the Delhi Government’s target to construct 4 lakh low-cost housing units under Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP) programme says that only 85 dwelling units were allotted to the beneficiaries. This reflects the anti-poor stance of the Congress government.
