Vijay Goel is new Delhi BJP chief
Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Vijay Goel was on Friday nominated as president of the party’s Delhi unit by national president Rajnath Singh. Mr. Goel, for his part, said: “The party leadership has entrusted me with enormous responsibility in an election year. Delhi faces enormous problems today like law and order, traffic, etc., and my first priority will be fighting for the rights of the people of Delhi and to provide them with facilities and amenities they deserve.”
रस्साकशी समाप्त: विजय गोयल बने दिल्ली प्रद
नई दिल्ली. दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा अध्यक्ष के लिए लंबे समय से चल रही रस्साकशी उस समय समाप्त हो गई जब पार्टी के आलाकमान ने प्रेदश भाजपा अध्यक्ष पद के लिए पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री विजय गोयल के नाम पर मोहर लगा दी। पार्टी में तमाम विरोधों को दरकिनार करते हुए भाजपा अध्यक्ष राजनाथ सिंह ने विजय गोयल के नाम की प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के लिए हरी झंडी दे दी। बिजली व पानी के मुद्दों पर प्रदर्शन के जरिए गोयल ने राजधानी में अपनी अलग पहचान बनाई थी।
Vijay Goel appointed Delhi BJP chief
NEW DELHI, 15 FEB: Ending days of speculation, Mr Vijay Goel, former Union minister in the Atal Behari Vajpayee-led NDA government, was today appointed the president of the Delhi unit of the BJP. The announcement was made by the party’s national president, Mr Rajnath Singh, here today. The BJP will, however, not project anyone as the chief ministerial candidate in Delhi where elections are due later this year, sources said. Mr Goel will replace present incumbent Mr Vijendra Gupta, who was eyeing a second term in the office after an amendment in the BJP’s constitution last September. Former BJP chief Dr Harshvardhan was another contender.

दिल्ली की सत्ता पाने को बेताब और कांग्रेस की लगातार जीत रोकने के लिए भाजपा ‘विजय के रथ’ पर सवार हुई है। भाजपा आलाकमान ने पूर्व केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री व पूर्व सांसद विजय गोयल के कंधे पर दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा अध्यक्ष की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी है। गोयल को यह जिम्मेदारी ऐसे समय में सौंपी गई है कि जब पार्टी कई गुटों में बंटी है। ऐसे में सभी को साथ लेकर विधानसभा चुनाव में बेहतर प्रदर्शन विजय गोयल की सबसे बड़ी परीक्षा होगी।

BJP moves CEC on abnormal increase of voters in Assam
GUWAHATI, Jan 3: BJP’s national general secretary and Assam in-charge of the party, Vijay Goel, the party’s Assam election in-charge Varun Gandhi, MPs Bijoya Chakraborty, Ramen Deka, Rajen Gohain and others today met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India SY Quraishi and raised the issue of abnormal rise in the number of voters in Assam in the 2010 electoral rolls. While the rise in voters at the national level is 1.6 per cent, it is 16 per cent in Assam.
BJP: CM?s speech a cruel joke
NEW DELHI, 16 DEC: While inaugurating the Annashree Yojana here today, the chief minister, Mrs Sheila Dikshit, said that Rs 600 given to the senior female member of a family is sufficient to provide food for a family of five. Reacting sharply over her statement, general secretary of BJP, Mr Vijay Goel said that the Chief Minister’s statement that Rs 600 is enough to sustain a family of five to buy wheat, rice, dal and sugar per month is a cruel joke on the poor.
BJP slams CM for her remarks
The Delhi BJP slammed the chief minister Sheila Dikshit for her comment that `600 per month could provide basic needs like pulses and rice for a family of five. Ms Dikshit, however, responded by saying that her remark had been presented out of context and those criticising the scheme had not understood the concept.
