Business Standard- Goel receives call about deletion of his name from electoral roll, moves CEO Press Trust of India | New Delhi
Union minister Vijay Goel Thursday claimed he received a phone call telling him the BJP got his name deleted from electoral rolls, and moved the Chief Electoral Office with a complaint against the Aam Aadmi Party.
The BJP has been alleging that people are receiving phone calls on behalf of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party telling them that their names were deleted from electoral rolls but they need not worry as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got them added back.
Goel said he received the call a few days back with the caller telling him that the BJP has got his name deleted from the electoral list.
The senior BJP leader, a former president of the Delhi unit of the party, lodged the complaint against the AAP and its convener Arvind Kejriwal with the CEO.
He demanded that the CEO gets the matter investigated thoroughly and legal action be initiated at the earliest.
He also demanded that responsibility should be fixed on the owners and management of the call centres for making such "bogus calls" to voters.
Earlier such complaints were forwarded to the Delhi Police which acted against centres from where such calls were being made.
Goel to lead a cycle rally of 1000 cyclists to protest Kejriwal’s failure to curb pollution
Union Minister and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel will make air pollution a major plank in the Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Goel would lead a cycle rally of 1000 cyclists tomorrow, March 15, from V3S Mall, Vikas Marg, Laxmi Nagar at 10 am to protest the complete failure of the Kejriwal government to curb air pollution in Delhi. Women, youth and common people from different walks of life will join him to support the cause.
Local MP Shri Mahesh Giri and Mayor Vipin Bihari will also join Goel in the cycle rally.
Goel said that Delhi has become the most polluted city in the world. The pollution levels in Delhi are five to seven times higher than the prescribed marks, yet no step has been taken by the Kejriwal government in the past four years. PM2.5 and PM10 levels in Delhi continually cross the severe mark of 500ug/m3, though the prescribed levels are 40ug/m3 for PM2.5 and 60ug/m3 for PM10. But instead of curbing the pollution, Kejriwal came up with odd-even drama which failed to tackle the pollution. Construction works and road dust contribute 21 percent to pollution, while industries and vehicular traffic contribute 18 percent and 41 percent to pollution respectively.
Goel said that pollution should become a major plank in the forthcoming general elections so that the residents of Delhi bring to power a party that takes stringent measures to control pollution and provide Delhi clean air to breathe.
Goel said that poor air quality has led to 30 percent rise in cases of respiratory and breathing ailments in hospitals, and the condition is even worse for poor men and women living in slums because neither they have sufficient resources for treatment nor they benefit from the “Ayushman Bharat” scheme owing to Kejriwal’s arrogance and insensitivity.
The Hindu- Goel leads BJP cadre in burning symbolic tower of AAP’s promises
Union Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel on Wednesday responded to the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decision to burn his party’s past manifestos by torching a symbolic “tower of the 70-point action plan” of AAP’s manifesto.
Accusing him of having “weakened the demand for statehood” Mr. Goel led party cadre in torching a tower of AAP’s “failed promises, advertisements, hoardings, and posters” at Jantar Mantar here so that “no future government cheats the people of Delhi by making false promises.”
“It has been more than four years since Arvind Kejriwal came to power. Yet he has not been able to fulfil even a single of the 70 promises listed in AAP’s election manifesto,” Mr. Goel alleged.
‘Failed promises’
According to Mr. Goel, 15 lakh CCTV cameras have not been installed, citizens are still waiting for free Wi-Fi, no buses are added, unauthorised colonies are still to be regularised, the Yamuna is still dirty, 2 lakh toilets in JJ colonies have not been built and a solar city is still a dream.
Mr. Goel alleged that instead of fulfilling his electoral promises, Mr. Kejriwal “kept indulging in one or another political drama” to hide his failures. The demand for statehood status for Delhi is “just another drama of Kejriwal” as the elections are only a few weeks away, he argued.
“I support statehood status for Delhi, but it should not be extended if the Chief Minister happens to be an anarchist, who insults the Republic Day celebrations, periodically clashes with the Lieutenant Governor and the MCDs and fails to bring any development to the city,” Mr. Goel said.
“Kejriwal is well aware of the decision of the Supreme Court over sharing of powers. Yet, he continues to indulge in theatrics and misleads the people of Delhi on the matter of statehood using foul language,” he added
The Asian Age- BJP workers accuse, burns manifesto of AAP party of cheating people of Delhi
New Delhi: BJP workers led by Union minister Vijay Goel Wednesday burnt the manifesto of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a symbolic tower of its "failed" promises while accusing the ruling party of "cheating" the people of Delhi.
The protest came ahead of AAP's scheduled event to torch BJP's manifesto to protest against it's "betrayal" on granting full statehood to Delhi. Hitting out at the Kejriwal government, Goel said,"We have torched this symbolic tower of failures and unfulfilled promises which cheated people of Delhi after making 70 promises to them before coming to power." Goel alleged that the Kejriwal government did not fulfil it's promises of developing unauthorised colonies, to make Delhi pollution free, opening 20 colleges, buying 10,000 buses and cleaning the Yamuna, among others. "They had promised to construct two lakh toilets in the slums but not even 200 have been constructed," Goel said addressing party workers at Jantar Mantar. He also sought to corner the AAP government saying it failed in appointing a Jan Lokpal and come up with Mohalla Sabha as was promised in it's manifesto of 2015 Assembly elections. "Kejriwal government failed in every field and cheated the people who gave it 67 out of 70 Assembly seats in Delhi," he said. In the run up to Lok Sabha polls, scheduled on May 12 in Delhi, the BJP has launched attack on AAP on the local issues in the city.
NDTV- BJP To Burn Advertisements Of AAP Government To Show Its “Failures”
NEW DELHI: The BJP hit back at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi over its demand for full statehood to the city, on Tuesday, with Union minister Vijay Goel saying he will lit a symbolic bonfire of "unfulfilled promises and failures" of the Arvind Kejriwal government.
Mr Goel slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the issue of full statehood, saying there was "no possibility of statehood owing to antics and drama of Kejriwal."
Earlier on Tuesday, Mr Kejriwal charged BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "betraying" people on the issue of full statehood to Delhi. He said he and other senior party leaders will burn the BJP manifesto which promised full statehood to Delhi, at AAP office on Wednesday.
Both Mr Tiwari and Mr Goel charged the AAP with raising the full-statehood issue to hide "failures and unfulfilled promises" of its government in Delhi.
Goel takes out Dhol Padyatra, rousing welcome tells Modi will be our next PM
Union Minister and Former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel carried out 10km long Padyatra with Dhol in Karol Bagh along with hundreds of party workers, against corruption, conspiracy and alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress.
Goel said the Dhol Padyatra received a rousing welcome, and the enthusiasm of Karol Bagh and the party workers about the campaign tells that the people of Delhi have made up their minds to make Shri Narendra Modi our Prime Minister again in 2019. Goel said that Kejriwal and his coterie know that they would never come back to power again and so they are trying every dirty trick possible to win the elections. Even if it means spending taxpayers’ money on false publicity or joining hands with the same Congress whose tales of corruption were repeatedly told by Kejriwal during the assembly polls. Goel said that desperate to forge an alliance, both the corrupt parties are indulging in closed-door conspiracies which he shall expose amid people of Delhi through the Dhol Andolan.
Goel also said that many residents of the unauthorized colonies have come to meet him to express their happiness over yesterday’s cabinet decision to constitute a committee to look into the process of conferring them the ownership or transfer rights. Goel congratulated the residents and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on behalf of all the residents of unauthorized colonies for taking this big decision. Goel said his long struggle to get unauthorized colonies regularized has finally borne fruit. In the past four years, the AAP government has failed to provide any relief to the people living in unauthorized colonies; finally, it is the Modi government which intervened and came to their rescue. Goel said the residents of unauthorized colonies have now realized that the day the BJP forms its government in Centre and in Delhi, they would have their ownership rights secured.
Extending the greetings for International Women’s Day to the women of Delhi and the country, Goel said the Modi government has taken numerous steps for the rights and welfare of the half of our population. Be it- free gas connections to 6 crore women, 10 crore Mudra loans to women for financial empowerment, permanent commission for women in the armed forces, provision of death penalty for girl’s rape or triple talaq bill to ensure gender equality for Muslim women, the Modi government stands committed to the safety, respect and empowerment of women. On the other hand, unfortunately, even after being in power for past four years, the Kejriwal government is still to fulfill its poll promise on women’s safety- 15 lakh CCTV cameras, 15,000 marshals on buses, 47 fast track courts to deal with crimes against women. Goel asked, what hope shall the Delhi’s women have from the party whose ministers and MLAs are frequently found to be involved in crimes against women?
Goel visits 800-year old Gauri Shankar temple in Chandni Chowk, wishes Mahashivratri to everyone
Former Union Minister and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel visited 800-year old, renowned Gauri Shankar Temple in Chandni Chowk today on the occasion of Mahashivratri, and sought blessings of Mahadeva for the peace and happiness of the nation.
On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, Goel wished people of Delhi and the nation. “Greetings of Mahashivratri to one and all, and pray Mahadev to bestow bliss and peace upon his followers. Bhole baba ki jai,” said Goel.
Goel also performed ‘Mahashivratri Puja’ along with his wife at the temple, and prayed for the welfare of the nation and its people. He remembered the supreme sacrifices of the Pulwama martyrs and said the entire nation is proud of its brave soldiers.
Goel said the drastic transformation that the country has witnessed in the past five years is due to the series of the development initiatives taken by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. These initiatives are strengthening the country on every front, and I pray to the Lord Shiva to give more strength to Modiji for the continued growth and prosperity of the nation, Goel said.
Congress-AAP are birds of the same feather – Goel
Union Minister and Former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel, while addressing hundreds of party workers in Vijay Sankalp Bike Rally, said Arvind Kejriwal is begging for an alliance with Sheila Dikshit, whom he once accused of being corrupt and promised to throw her behind the bars. Kejriwal came to power in Delhi riding on corruption allegations against the Congress and for the past four years, the Congress has been accusing the Kejriwal government of indulging in corruption.
What could be more shameful than the fact that for long period both the power-hungry parties had been having meetings to forge an alliance? Goel said that though the Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates, behind-the-doors both the parties are still ready to come together.
Goel said that yesterday the Chief Minister of Delhi showed his true colors when he commented that the Bharatiya Janata Party wanted to win the Lok Sabha elections over dead bodies of our soldiers.
Goel also said that on one hand, the people of India are standing with the armed forces and the government, on another hand, Kejriwal has been cursing the BJP with all his might because ever since the Modi government gave a befitting reply to Pakistan, his political career has been finished. Kejriwal is insulting the valor of the armed forces.
Goel himself rode the bike today along with hundreds of party workers and led the Vijay Sankalp Bike Rally from Samaj Mandir, Seva Nagar chowk. Standing amidst them, Goel said that the BJP is set to form the next government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Goel said that all the party workers salute our soldiers through the bike rally. Goel said that it is now clear that the Modi government would not shy from taking bold steps in the interest of the country, be it declaring demonetization, implementing the GST, or dealing with terrorism. He emphasized that only the Modi government should be formed which can work on every front with firmness and determination. A weak government cannot lead the country.
Goel also said that those who have been commenting on the foreign trips of PM Modi would have got their answers by now that it was only due to Modi government’s diplomatic efforts that all major countries in the world are standing with India today.
