विस, नई दिल्ली : जामिया यूनिवर्सिटी और उसके आसपास के इलाकों में हिंसा के बाद बीजेपी के राज्यसभा सांसद विजय गोयल ने जामिया इलाके में जाकर हालात का जायजा लिया। वह यूनिवर्सिटी के गेट पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे छात्रों के बीच जाकर उनसे मिलना चाहते थे, लेकिन तनावपूर्ण हालात देखते हुए उन्हें कार्यक्रम टालना पड़ा। बाद में वह होली फैमिली अस्पताल गए और वहां भर्ती 11 घायल छात्रों से मिलकर भरोसा दिलाया कि सरकार उनके साथ खड़ी है।

गोयल के मुताबिक, अस्पताल में भर्ती बीटेक फर्स्ट ईयर के स्टूडेंट मुजम्मिल ने उन्हें बताया कि कुछ असामाजिक तत्व यूनिवर्सिटी की लाइब्रेरी में घुस गए थे। उनके बीच घिर जाने के कारण उन्हें चोट लगी। गोयल ने मुजम्मिल के भाई के अनुरोध पर अस्पताल में इलाज का उसका पूरा खर्च वहन करने की घोषणा भी की। गोयल ने कहा कि वह कोशिश करेंगे कि अस्पताल में भर्ती बाकी 10 छात्रों पर भी इलाज का बिल भरने का बोझ न पड़े। उन्होंने 'आप' और कांग्रेस पर नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के नाम पर दिल्ली में दंगे करवाने की साजिश रचने का आरोप लगाते हुए छात्रों को आगाह किया कि वे इन लोगों के चक्कर में ना पड़ें। यह भरोसा भी दिलाया कि इस कानून से भारत में रह रहे मुसलमानों को किसी तरह का कोई खतरा नहीं है। ना ही उनके अधिकारों में कमी आनेवाली है।

राज्यसभा सांसद विजय गोयल सोमवार को 11 घायल छात्रों को देखने होली फैमिली अस्पताल गए। इनमें से एक छात्र मुज्जमिल इस्लाम, जो कि बीटेक प्रथम वर्ष का जामिया में छात्र है, वह घायल था, उसने बताया कि असामाजिक तत्व यूनिवर्सिटी की लाइब्रेरी में घुस आए थे जिनके बीच घिर जाने के कारण उसको चोट आयी। मुज्जमिल के भाई आश्किन ने गोयल से कहा कि वे अस्पताल में उपचार का बिल का भुगतान करने में मदद करें। 

गोयल ने उनके पूरे बिल का सैटलमेंट करवा दिया। सांसद ने कहा कि वे कोशिश करेंगे कि बाकी 10 छात्र मो. नजरूल, तामिन, आजम, शाकिम, नुरूल, मकसूद अहमद, सलमान, शयान, मो. राशिद और आमिर पर भी बिल का बोझ न पड़े। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने अस्पताल के डॉक्टरों की भी बेहतर उपचार हेतु प्रशंसा की। गोयल अंजुमन (कोर्ट) जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया के सदस्य रह चुके हैं।

New Delhi: With Citizenship (Amendment) Bill being passed in the Upper House of Parliament on Wednesday, the Pakistani Hindu refugees staying at the Majnu ka Tilla were overjoyed and excited at the prospects of getting Indian citizenship after the Bill becomes an act with the consent of President Ram Nath Kovind.

Large number of these immigrants hailed the Central government for passage of the bill and greeted thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the same.

Amid sloganeering of “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, the residents distributed sweets among each other to celebrate the occasion. “We are really happy with this decision. It is like we have taken a new birth here. We are extremely grateful to Modi for the decision,” said a refugee.

A woman refugee stated that the kindness shown by Modi will not be forgotten. “We want other Pakistani Hindu citizens to also come to India to celebrate this occasion,” said another woman.

BJP Rajya Sabha member and former president of party city unit Vijay Goel on Thursday joined the 200 Hindu refugee families living at Majnu ka Tilla since the last 10 years to celebrate the new law. Celebrating the passage of bill with drums, sweets, and garlands, Mr Goel said that PM Modi has given a new life to the Hindu refugees with the passage of this bill and now they will be able to get Indian citizenship.

“With the passage of this bill, persecuted Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Christian, and Parsi minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan will get Indian citizenship. The bill will become law with the President’s assent, but sadly Congress is planning to challenge it in the court. This is despite the bill being passed by the Parliament,” he said.

Mr Goel slammed the opposition parties for misleading the country and portraying it to be anti-Muslim. “I had a word with the Muslims of Chandni Chowk, who said that they will not be misled. This bill is not affecting the rights of Muslim citizens of India nor is it depriving them of their rights,” said former Delhi BJP president.

According to Mr Goel, a refugee woman, Veeva, from Pakistan’s Sindh province told him that she didn’t have any rights in Pakistan, they didn’t have religious freedom and could not celebrate their festivals. Their temples were destroyed too. “A woman named Seeta said that they were forced to convert to Islam. Another refugee, Seetaram, told me that their women are not safe there. There is always a threat of rape. A lot of their family members are in Pakistan, who are not being allowed by the Pakistani government to move to India,” said Mr Goel.

नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक संसद के दोनों सदनों में पास हो जाने के बाद दिल्ली बीजेपी के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने गुरुवार को दिल्ली के अलग-अलग इलाकों में रह रहे शरणार्थियों के कैंपों में जाकर उनके साथ जश्न मनाया। इस दौरान खूब ढोल नगाड़े बजाए गए, पटाखे फोड़े गए, मिठाइयां बांटी गईं और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की जय जयकार करने वाले नारे लगाए गए। बीजेपी नेताओं ने नागरिकता संशोधन बिल का विरोध करने वाली आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस को भी आड़े हाथों लेते हुए कहा कि इससे इन पार्टियों के असली चेहरे लोगों के सामने उजागर हो गए हैं। बीजेपी नेताओं ने यह भरोसा भी दिलाया कि नागरिकता संशोधन बिल देश के किसी भी समुदाय के लोगों के अधिकारों का हनन नहीं करता है, इसलिए किसी भी धर्म, समुदाय या जाति के लोगों को इस बिल के प्रावधानों के मामले में किसी भी राजनीतिक दल के बहकावे में आने की जरूरत नहीं है।

गुरुवार को दिल्ली बीजेपी अध्यक्ष मनोज तिवारी और राज्यसभा सांसद विजय गोयल ने मजनूं का टीला स्थित पाकिस्तान से आए हिंदू शरणार्थियों के कैंप में जाकर नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पास होने का जश्न मनाया। इस दौरान गोयल और तिवारी तीन दिन पहले इसी कैंप में जन्मी उस बच्ची से भी खासतौर से मिले, जिसका नाम उसके परिजनों ने 'नागरिकता' रखा है। दोनों ने उसे गोद में लेकर दुलारा और उसके अच्छे भविष्य की कामना की। वहीं केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री और चांदनी चौक के सांसद डॉ. हर्षवर्धन आदर्श नगर स्थित शरणार्थी बस्ती में जाकर हिंदू शरणार्थियों की खुशियों में शामिल हुए। विधानसभा में विपक्ष के नेता विजेंद्र गुप्ता ने भी रोहिणी के शरणार्थी कैंप में जाकर मिठाइयां बांटीं और यहां के लोगों के साथ मिलकर जश्न मनाया। इस दौरान लोगों ने गुप्ता का मुंह मीठा करवा के मोदी सरकार के प्रति अपना आभार जताया।

बाद में प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मनोज तिवारी ने पार्टी दफ्तर में प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस कर आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस पर जमकर निशाना भी साधा। उन्होंने कहा कि आम आदमी पार्टी अब भारत में रह रहे उन हिंदू शरणार्थियों का भी विरोध करने पर उतर आई है, जो पहले से ही दूसरे देशों में प्रताड़ित हो रहे थे और उससे बचने के लिए जिन्होंने भारत में आकर शरण ली थी। आज उन लोगों की आंखों में खुशी के आंसू हैं कि अब उन्हें कानूनी तौर पर इस देश की नागरिकता मिल सकेगी, लेकिन आम आदमी पार्टी इसे सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती देने की बात कह रही है। तिवारी ने भरोसा दिलाया कि यह बिल न तो अल्पसंख्यकों के अधिकारों को हनन करने वाला है और ना ही पूर्वोत्तर के राज्यों में रहने वाले लोगों के अधिकारों का इससे कोई हनन होता है।

NEW DELHI: A day after the Rajya Sabha passed the Citizen Amendment Bill making the process of securing Indian citizenship easier for non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, several Delhi BJP leaders met Hindu refugees from Pakistan on Thursday. The Lok Sabha had cleared the Bill on Monday.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari met the refugee families in north Delhi’s Majnu Ka Tila and celebrated the passage of the Bill with them. He also accused the opposition of spreading rumours that the Bill was against Muslims living in the country. “It is not against the Muslims living in the country. It is a humane bill that will alleviate the pain of around one crore minorities from the neighbouring countries who have taken refuge in India,” he claimed.
The party leaders also celebrated the birth of a girl at the refugee camp, who has been named Nagarikta. “With the passage of the Bill, a wave of happiness can be seen at the Hindu refugee camps,” Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel said. Nearly 200 Hindu refugee families have been living at Majnu Ka Tila for over 10 years.
Union health minister Harsh Vardhan met the refugees in Adarsh Nagar while the leader of opposition in Delhi assembly, Vijender Gupta, met a few families in Rohini.
“Heart warming robust cries of “LONG LIVE MODI JI” resounded in the refugee colonies of my constituency today. Thousands of men & women danced joyfully to the beat of dhols celebrating passage of #CitizenshipAmmendmentBill2019 in Parliament,” Vardhan tweeted after the visit.
Gupta said the refugees would be able to live in an atmosphere of freedom, respect and security and earn their livelihood like the rest of Indians.
