NEW DELHI: The soaring onion prices in the national capital was at the centre of a political slugfest on Friday, with top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and MPs Vijay Goel and Meenakshi Lekhi staging a protest against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The demonstration was staged near Ajmeri Gate. The protesters, led by the BJP heavyweights, demanded that the Delhi government bring down onion prices instead of “indulging in politics over the issue”.

Responding to the AAP’s charge that the Centre wasn’t doing enough to ensure supply of the kitchen staple at subsidised rates in the national capital, the BJP leaders laid the blame for the price spiral on the Arvind Kejriwal government.

Goel said at a time when Delhiites are struggling for clean air and water, the chief minister is also “not letting them eat”.

The chief minister was quoted as saying earlier that the Centre had stopped supply of onions to the city at controlled rates at a time when the retail price of the bulb has touched Rs 100 per kg.

On November 23, Goel said that the Centre had sought to know the Delhi government’s requirement of onions. “But the government didn’t respond and is indulging in cheap politics instead,” he said on Friday.
In most parts of the city, the bulb has been selling at between Rs 80 and Rs 100 per kg.

On Thursday, Food and Civil Supplies minister Imran Hussain wrote to Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, seeking his intervention in ensuring steady supply of onions from NAFED. With barely months to the Assembly elections, the issue now threatens to become a full-blown political slugfest.

नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा के नेताओं ने पार्टी के राज्यसभा सदस्य विजय गोयल के नेतृत्व में प्याज सहित खाने-पीने के सामान की कीमतों में भारी बढ़ोतरी के विरोध में केजरीवाल सरकार के खिलाफ शुक्रवार को अजमेरी गेट पर प्रदर्शन किया। इस दौरान प्रदर्शनकारियों ने प्याज की माला पहनी थी। प्रदर्शनकारियों में नई दिल्ली लोकसभा सीट से सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी भी शामिल थीं। 

उन्होंने मांग की कि दिल्ली सरकार ‘‘इस मुद्दे पर राजनीति करने’’ के बजाय प्याज की कीमतें कम करे। दूसरी ओर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल और उनके खाद्य मंत्री इमरान हुसैन ने केंद्र सरकार पर आरोप लगाया है कि वह रियायती दरों पर दिल्ली सरकार को प्याज की आपूर्ति नहीं कर रही है। शहर के विभिन्न बाजारों में प्याज 100 रुपये प्रति किलो तक बिक रहा है।

नई दिल्ली/ टीम डिजिटल। दिल्ली (Delhi) में बढ़ती प्याज (Onion) की कीमतों पर राजनीति जारी है। इसी क्रम में बीजेपी  (BJP) के राज्यसभा सांसद विजय गोयल (Vijay Goel) ने दिल्ली सरकार (Delhi Government) पर निशाना साधा है। गोयल का कहना है कि जनता को सस्ती प्याज दिलवाने के लिए केजरीवाल सरकार केंद्र से प्याज नहीं खरीद रही। 

विजय गोयल ने अपने आधिकारिक ट्विटर हैंडल से ट्वीट कर लिखा है कि दिल्ली में प्याज 100 रुपये किलो हो गई। केजरीवाल सरकार सो रही है। केंद्र सरकार से दिल्ली वालों के लिए सस्ती प्याज भी केजरीवाल खरीदने को तैयार नहीं। आज चांदनी चौक के अजमेरी गेट पर 12 बजे इसके विरोध में हो रहे धरने में मैं भी बैठूंगा।

दिल्ली सरकार ने केंद्र से की ये मांग
बता दें कि प्याज की कीमतों में बेतहाशा वृद्धि के बीच दिल्ली (Delhi) सरकार ने केंद्र से दिल्ली में 60 रुपए की बजाय 15.60 रुपए प्रति किलोग्राम की दर से प्याज उपलब्ध कराने का आग्रह किया है। हुसैन ने आरोप लगाया कि भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कृषि सहकारी विपणन संघ (नेफेड) ने प्याज की आपूर्ती बंद कर दी है। वहीं नेफेड ने कहा कि दिल्ली में प्याज उपलब्ध कराने के लिए उसे अलवर के बाजार से खरीदना पड़ेगा और बाद में मिस्र से आयात होने वाले प्याज की खेप में से क्रय करना होगा।

सीएम केजरीवाल ने केंद्र पर लगाया ये आरोप
केंद्रीय उपभोक्ता मामलों (Consumer protection) के मंत्री राम विलास पासवान (Ram Vilas Paswan) को पत्र लिखकर दिल्ली के खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री इमरान हुसैन (Imran Hussain) ने कहा कि ऐसा नहीं लगना चाहिए कि सरकार आवश्यक खाद्य पदार्थ पर लाभ कमा रही है। मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को केंद्र सरकार पर दिल्ली में नियंत्रित कीमत पर प्याज की आपूर्ति रोक देने का आरोप लगाया था।

विस, नई दिल्ली : बीजेपी के राज्यसभा सांसद और दिल्ली बीजेपी के पूर्व अध्यक्ष विजय गोयल ने अनधिकृत कॉलोनियों में विकास कार्य कराने के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के दावों को खोखला और झूठा करार दिया है। गोयल ने केजरीवाल को चुनौती दी है कि वह दिल्ली की अनधिकृत कॉलोनियों में उनके साथ चलें और देखें कि वहां सड़क, सीवर और पानी की सप्लाई का कितना बुरा हाल है। गोयल ने आरोप लगाया कि केजरीवाल जिस बजट को कच्ची कॉलोनियों में खर्च करने की बात कर रहे हैं, उसमें भी भारी भ्रष्टाचार हो रहा है और इसीलिए लोग पानी और सीवर के कनेक्शन नहीं ले पा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि केजरीवाल ने भरपूर कोशिश की कि मोदी सरकार जिन कॉलोनियों में लोगों को मालिकाना हक दे रही है, उनमें वो खूब रोड़े अटकाए। गोयल ने दावा किया कि अगर दिल्ली का चुनाव केजरीवाल के काम के आंकलन के आधार पर हुआ, तो उनकी और आम आदमी पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों की जमानत तक नहीं बचेगी।

नई दिल्ली पानी के मुद्दे को लेकर शुक्रवार को बीजेपी के वरिष्ठ नेता दिल्ली बीजेपी अध्यक्ष मनोज तिवारी, केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ हर्षवर्धन, राज्यसभा सांसद विजय गोयल, सांसद प्रवेश साहिब सिंह और सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी एक साथ सामने आए। इस दौरान केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ हर्षवर्धन ने कहा कि पानी के सैंपल की जांच भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो ने किया है। उसकी विश्वसनीयता पर सवाल नहीं उठाया जा सकता। लेकिन सीएम पहले ऐसे व्यक्ति है, जो ऐसी संस्था पर भी सवाल उठा रहे हैं।

उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो ने दिल्ली, चंडीगढ़, लखनऊ, पटना, चेन्नै, त्रिवेंद्रम सहित 13 शहरों से पानी के सैंपल लिए थे और उनके सैंपल भी फेल हैं। उन राज्यों की सरकारों ने जांच रिपोर्ट स्वीकार कर ली है और पानी की गुणवत्ता को ठीक करने की दिशा में काम शुरू कर दिया है। लेकिन दिल्ली सरकार ही नाकामियों को छिपाने के लिए दूसरों पर दोष मढ़ रही है। इस संबंध में उन्होंने बैठक भी बुलाई थी, जिसमें सभी विभागों के अधिकारी आए, लेकिन दिल्ली जलबोर्ड का कोई अधिकारी शामिल नहीं हुआ।

विजय गोयल ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार को खुद अपने पानी पर भरोसा नहीं है। मुख्यमंत्री आवास और सचिवालय में आरओ लगा है। आधी दिल्ली टैंकर और अंडरग्राउंड वॉटर पीने को मजबूर है। दिल्ली बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि 300 जगहों से पानी के सैंपल लिए गए थे और सारे सैंपल सभी मानकों पर फेल हो गए। पानी को लेकर दिल्ली सरकार सरकार की कवायदों को तिवारी ने ड्रामा बताया। सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी ने कहा कि दिल्ली के वॉटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट अपनी क्षमता से अधिक पानी शुद्ध कर रहे है। इसके चलते पानी की गुणवत्ता पर असर पड़ रहा है। सांसद प्रवेश साहिब सिंह ने कहा कि 72 साल बाद भी दिल्ली साफ पानी को लेकर जूझ रही है। 15 सालों तक कांग्रेस पानी के मुद्दे पर चुनाव लड़ती रही और अब आम आदमी पार्टी भी इसी मुद्दे पर चुनाव लड़ रही है।

New Delhi: BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members clashed in Rajya Sabha on Friday over the quality of water being piped to households in the national capital, prompting an angry response from Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu who asked members to maintain decorum.

Trouble started when BJP's Vijay Goel was called to make his Zero Hour submission on the quality of water in Delhi. As Goel began speaking on the "poor quality and unsafe water" in Delhi, AAP's Sanjay Singh started countering him in a loud voice.

Naidu ordered that Singh's comments would not go on record and should not be reported. He asked him to sit down as no allegation against any person or government has been made. But Singh continued, angering Naidu.

"Are you the minister to correct it," he asked Singh. Naidu also told Goel that any display of articles published in newspapers, or any other items such as air purifiers, water bottles or pollution masks is "totally unauthorised and is not allowed in the House. The BJP leader had displayed newspaper articles during a short duration discussion on pollution in Delhi on Thursday. Naidu said no member can bring pressure on the Deputy Chairman by such actions.

Rajya Sabha was being presided over by Deputy Chairman on Thursday when Goel had displayed the news article. "Please follow rules, decency and decorum," Naidu said, adding Rajya Sabha is a House of Elders and is supposed to live up to its name.

In his Zero Hour submission on Friday, Goel said quality of water supplied in Delhi is a matter of concern as most households either use ROs to filter it or consume bottled water.

He said Delhi needs 3,800 million litres of water a day but in absence of adequate supplies, residents have to depend on borewells to serve their needs.

As much as 40 per cent of the water piped in the city is being wasted during transmission due to leakage and theft, he said, adding 25 per cent of the habitation particularly

unauthorised colonies had no water pipelines.

Sale of air purifiers and ROs in Delhi would bear testimony to the quality of water and air in the national capital, he said. On the AAP countering the report of water samples tested by the Union Consumers Affairs Ministry, he said Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has suggested that teams of officials drawn from the Centre and Delhi government be constituted for collecting samples and testing.

He questioned the delay in constituting such teams. Geol was constantly countered by AAP's Singh only to be overruled by Naidu.
