Sisodia does not have answer to our questions, therefore did not meet us;

– Goel cycles to gift stubble to those who are politicising stubble burning;
– AAP blaming “parali” in Delhi, guilty of stubble burning in Punjab- Goel;
New Delhi, 7th November, 2019: MP and former BJP Delhi President, Vijay Goel, cycled to the residence of Manish Sisodia to gift him a stubble bouquet on the issue of stubble burning by Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab while continuously blaming stubble burning for spike in pollution levels in Delhi. Goel was accompanied by MLA O.P Sharma, Anil Vajpayee, Richa Pandey, standing committee chairperson Jay Prakash amongst others.
Goel said that Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia ji did not meet us because he does not answer to the questions asked to him about Kejriwal government’s efforts in reducing pollution in last five years. Goel said that not even once in last five years, Kejriwal government tried to cooperate with 7 MPs from Delhi, MCD or Central Government. Delhi government even openly flouted Supreme Court’s directions.
Goel said that AAP’s MLAs are burning stubble, and encouraging people to burn it as well. Goel said that if pollution has reduced by 25% and was being caused by stubble burning, then what was the need of Odd-Even? Goel said that now that weather has improved, children have also started going to school, then what is the need of Odd-Even? Supreme Court has also clearly stated that Odd-Even is discriminatory and has not been efficiently implemented. Vehicles which were to be prohibited have been allowed and those which were to be exempted have been brought under odd-even.
Goel said that by gifting stubble bouquet to Sisodia, he wanted to show the hypocrisy of AAP. Goel told that on one hand, AAP is blaming stubble burning causing spike in pollution levels in Delhi, on the other hand, according to a report by NASA areas of 19 AAP’s MLAs are burning most stubble in Punjab.
Supreme Court has rebuked the Delhi government over its failure to control road dust, construction and demolition waste, plastic and garbage burning etc and has said that Chief Secretary should resign from its post.
Goel demanded Kejriwal’s resignation after Supreme Court’s reprimand. He said that Kejriwal should resign from his post. His true face has been exposed to the people.
O.P Sharma said that 90% pollution in Delhi is caused by internal factors on which ‘AAP’ government did not do anything. Now, to hide its failures, it is shifting the blame on stubble burning and advertising relentlessly.

Goel said that people have demanded from Kejriwal and Sisodia to answer Goel’s letter and inform Delhi’s public about the work done by them on pollution apart from wasting money on advertisements.

On stubble burning in Punjab by AAP, Goel to gift parali to Sisodia tomorrow

·       Kapil Mishra, O.P Sharma, Jay Prakash and others to be present too;
·       Kejriwal should resign after Supreme Court’s rebuke- Goel;
·       Those blaming stubble themselves responsible for stubble burning in Punjab: Goel
New Delhi, 6th November, 2019: To protest against stubble burning in Punjab by Aam Aadmi Prty, MP and former BJP Delhi President, Vijay Goel, along with Jagdish Pradhan, Kapil Mishra, O.P.Sharma, Devendra Sehrawat, Anil Bajpai, Shazia Ilmi, Ashwini Upadhyay, Richa Pandey, Jai Prakash, Abhay Verma will give stubble to Dy CM Manish Sisodia by riding a cycle to his residence.
Goel said that CM Arvind Kejriwal and his party members are hypocrites. On one hand, they are blaming stubble burning in Delhi, and on the other hand, there MLAs in Punjab are instigating, encouraging and themselves burning stubble.
Goel said that there have been reports that in the areas where Aam Aadmi Party has 19 MLAs, those areas are burning most stubble. Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab division’s Shukhpal Singh Khaira was caught burning stubble on camera in 2017. Now, the Opposition leader of Punjab Legislative Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema is also supporting stubble burning.
Replying to Manish Sisodia’s claim, Goel clarified that—
1. I have always said that according to Environmental Organisations stubble burning contributes only 10-20% of pollution levels in Delhi;
2. If Kejriwal does not address 90% of causes of pollution, then Odd-Even ends up being a mere gimmick.
3. Goel said that his stand has been vindicated by the Supreme Court as well that only Odd-Even is rendered ineffective by just car rationing.
Goel said that Supreme Court has vindicated his stand on pollution and has asked Chief Secretary why is he on his post if he cannot curb road dust, construction and demolition waste, garbage burning? Construction activities are still going on in Delhi, look at the level of pollution. Take strict action against the violators.
Goel said that Kejriwal should resign from his post after being rebuked by Supreme Court for its gross negligence.
Goel said that the letter written by him yesterday to Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia to answer about Delhi government’s efforts to curb pollution levels in Delhi remains unanswered.
Goel demanded that the weather has improved now, meteorological conditions have gotten better, children have started going to school as well. Now, Kejriwal ji stop wasting crores on advertisements because Delhiites are very smart and can understand everything in just one go.

Times Of India- Vijay Goel defies odd-even rule in Delhi, travels in odd-numbered car

NEW DELHI: Defying the odd-even rule that was implemented in Delhi on Monday morning as a measure to mitigate rising air pollution in the capital, Rajya Sabha MP and former state BJP chief Vijay Goel travelled in an odd-numbered car to protest against the vehicle rationing scheme.
Track the pollution level in your city
He later stopped at the round about near Le Meridian Hotel in Central Delhi and volunteered to get penalised by the traffic police for the violation.
"This scheme is just a gimmick. AAP government themselves say that the pollution is due to stubble burning then how does the scheme help?" Goel told reporters while he drove off from his residence and added that he was willing to pay the fine for violating the rule.
According to the scheme, only even number vehicles, with the last digit of the registration plate ending with 0,2,4,6 or 8, can ply on November 4, 6, 8, 12 and 14 (November 10 is Sunday and is not covered under the rule). The last digit of Goel's SUV is '7'. Goel got anti-government and anti-odd even slogans printed on his car.
The senior BJP leader was accompanied by party's vice-president and Delhi-in-charge Shyam Jaju and west Delhi MP Parvesh Verma.
Goel was most vociferous BJP leader against the road rationing scheme when it was first launched in January 2016 and had openly defied the rule.

Odd even just a gimmick, Goel violates odd-even and pays penalty

– Goel to protest against Kejriwal government in his painted car;

New Delhi, November 4, 2019: MP and former President, VIjay Goel, challenged that if Kejriwal has so much believe that odd-even will bring down pollution then he should ask environmental organisations like CPCB, DPCC, TERI, SAFAR, and experts like Sunita Narain or Sumit Sharma about the viability of odd-even scheme.
In his saffron painted Fortuner, Goel and his supporters left his residence 10, Ashoka Road. "Pradooshan ki jimmedaar, Kejriwal sarkaar, odd-even hai bekar" has been painted on Goel's car. Goel explained with reasons why odd-even is merely an election gimmick.
Protesting against the Kejriwal government, Goel violated the odd-even scheme and paid fine.
Goel claimed that his protest is not politically motivated. It is a very personal judgment which he decided to take after surveying people. Goel said that no one should have to breathe poisonous air as this.
Goel said that stubble burning contributes to only less than 10% of pollution levels. If Kejriwal government is claiming that stubble burning is leading to spike in pollution levels, then why is it bringing odd-even? Kejriwal government has been lax in last five years. Delhi's internal causes are responsible for more than 90% of its pollution levels. Kejriwal government miserably failed to install smog free towers, procure buses, sprinkling machines, vacuum cleaner, or curb dust pollution from roads, construction activities and industries. It has just been blatantly lying to the people.
Goel questioned Delhi government that if pollution is because of stubble burning then how is odd-even going to benefit it? Stubble was burnt in last three years as well, why was odd-even not enforced then?
Goel said that when odd-even was implemented the first time, then he had protested against it by violating it and paying the penalty.
Goel said that sadly, odd-even is a mere gimmick for the Delhi government. When Delhi government has already exempted two-wheeler vehicles, Ola-Uber, three wheeler vehicles like e-rickshaws, autos, cars driven by women, buses etc, then has odd even been brought for just cars?
A report was recently published by TERI's Sumit Sharma. The report states that exempting two-wheeler vehicles from odd-even will render it futile. Interestingly, this has been echoed by a lot of other environmental organisations like CPCB, DTU, TERI etc.
Taking a jibe at Kejriwal's advertisement spree, Goel said that Kejriwal can now use his penalty for advertisements as well. Goel told that Delhi government did not use a single penny from the corpus of Rs 1300 crores of environmental cess.
Goel said that earlier only Kejirwal used to cough, today entire Delhi is coughing and Kejriwal is fine.
Goel sternly stated that Kejriwal as been evading his responsibility and hiding his failures under the garb of advertisements and freebies.

The Hindu- Goel stages fast against ‘failure’ to curb pollution

The BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel on Friday sat on a fast to protest against the Delhi government’s alleged failure to curb air pollution in the Capital. Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma and BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain were among those who sat in solidarity with Mr. Goel.

Mr. Tiwari, accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of “playing with the lives” of school children, and claimed that the Delhi government decided to shut schools due to the “pressure” from the BJP.

“I am fasting because of two reasons. First, to appeal to the people of Delhi to cooperate in reducing pollution levels and secondly to put pressure on the Kejriwal government to take some action. The Kejriwal government did not do anything for reducing pollution levels in the last five years but it is time that they wake up and take some action,” Mr. Goel alleged

Times Of India- Vijay Goel on dharna, Manoj Tiwari slams aap

NEW DELHI: BJP on Friday slammed Aam Aadmi Party for its "failure" to check air pollution and "politicising" the issue.
While Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari alleged that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal distributed masks to schoolchildren and got photographs clicked to take "political mileage", Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel sat on a day-long dharna to " put pressure on" Delhi government to take effective steps to check pollution levels. Kejriwal, however, said such acts "undermine the seriousness" of the problem and denied the charge that the AAP government was politicising the issue.

Vijay Goel fasts for one day on the issue of pollution

– Goel urges Delhiites to co-operate in reducing pollution and pressurise Delhi government
– Water purifiers for dirty water, now masks for pollution;

New Delhi, November 1, 2019:  MP and former BJP Delhi President, Vijay Goel fasted against pollution levels in Delhi today. Goel's fast against pollution was supported by state president Manoj Tiwari, MP Pravesh Verma, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain,  RWA's, hundred of workers and common people. His residence was crowded by people.
Goel said that he is fasting because of two reasons. First, he is appealing to people of Delhi to co-operate in reducing pollution levels, and second to pressurise Kejriwal government to take some action. Kejriwal government did not do anything in reducing pollution levels in last five years but it is about time that they wake up and take some action. SAFAR, CPCB and other environmental organisations have stated that stubble burning contributes only 4-10% in pollution levels. Rest 90% is because of internal sources in Delhi like dust pollution, construction dust, industrial pollution, burning plastic waste etc. People are contracting life threatening diseases because of pollution levels. If Kejriwal government would have worked on this in last five years then Goel would not have needed to fast today. This fast is an indication that everyone should contribute in reducing pollution in their own small small ways and stand up against Delhi government's failures and callousness.

Goel said that now Delhi's CM is again going to start the gimmick of odd even. Just to advertise this Kejriwal government has spent crores. This is that odd even which was discredited by several government and non governmental organisations. Today people of Delhi are forced to use air purifiers. On the other hand, the government had to procure e buses, 5000 buses, smog free towers, vacuum cleaners, plant 1.5 lakh trees in Central ridge, sidewalks and cycle lanes but it did not do anything. The fact that Kejriwal government is distributing masks shows their helplessness.

Goel said that even today Arvind Kejriwal said two lies. Kejriwal while addressing school kids told them that he constructed eastern western peripheral highway which reduced pollution in Delhi. Second lie was that he planted plants on 600 acres of land. However, it is Central government which constructed eastern western peripheral highways, not Delhi government and Delhi government does not even have 600 acres of land. Goel said that if it wasn't for Central government's efforts in constructing eastern western peripheral highways, BS VI norms, Badarpur electric plants, dhula kuan loops and a highway, Dwarka expressway etc then pollution is Delhi would have spiked to much worse levels.

Goel said that we should follow the path of Gandhi ji. Gandhi ji taught the path of truth, and justice. Gandhi ji used to teach that we should be honest with our work and not be corrupt.
