नई दिल्ली : दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों की बदतर स्थिति का निरीक्षण करने मंगलवार को केन्द्रीय राज्य मंत्री एवं पूर्व भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष विजय गोयल ने विधायक जगदीश प्रधान के साथ मुस्तफाबाद के सरकारी स्कूल का दौरा किया। अगली बार वे नई दिल्ली लोकसभा के स्कूलों का निरीक्षण कर आम आदमी पार्टी को एक्सपोज करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि मुस्तफाबाद स्कूल में 2100 लड़कियां और 1800 लड़के पढ़ते हैं और शर्म की बात यह है कि यह स्कूल दो-दो घंटों की चार शिफ्टों में चलता है। हर शिफ्ट का एक घंटा हाजिरी और मिड डे मील में खराब हो जाता है। स्कूल में एक ही कमरे में दो-दो क्लास चलती हैं। इससे ज्यादा खराब हालात और क्या होंगे। स्कूल के टाॅयलेट सड़े हुए हैं और पीने का पानी तीन महीने से नहीं है। नशाखोर कमरे की खिड़कियों को तोड़कर अंदर आ जाते हैं और पंखे निकाल कर ले जाते हैं। गोयल ने आगे कहा कि वे खुद 25 लाख रुपए एक साल पहले स्कूल के लिये दे चुके हैं, उसे भी दिल्ली सरकार ने स्कूल के लिए उपयोग नहीं किया, कि कहीं इसका फायदा भाजपा को न हो जाए। मुस्तफाबाद स्कूल की वाइस प्रिंसिपल अनीता सिंह ने बताया कि स्कूल का रिजल्ट 10वीं में महज 19 प्रतिशत था, जबकि यह रिजल्ट 9वीं में 70 प्रतिशत रहा था। वर्षों से यहां प्रिंसिपल ही नहीं है। मैनेजमेंट की वाइस चेयरमैन यास्मीन ने कहा कि दो-दो घंटों में बच्चों की क्या पढ़ाई होगी, 8वीं के बच्चों को 7-8 का पहाड़ा भी नहीं आता है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस स्कूल में 61 गेस्ट टीचर्स हैं, मात्र 9 टीचर ही स्थायी हैं। यही नहीं करावल नगर, शिव विहार, नेहरू विहार आदि काॅलोनियों में दूर-दूर तक कोई दूसरा स्कूल नहीं है।

Former Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel on Tuesday accused the AAP government of making “tall claims” on reforming the education sector in the Capital after he found “poor” infrastructure at a government-run school in north-east Delhi’s Mustafabad.

Mr. Goel and BJP MLA Jagdish Pradhan visited the Government Boys/Girls Secondary School in Mustafabad during a “reality check” tour following which he alleged that the AAP government had been making “false claims” on improving the education sector and schools in Delhi, while the truth was that over 50% of students of Classes X and XII were “failing in the examinations.”

4,000 students

According to Mr. Goel, 4,000 students were found to be studying in four shifts of two hours each and Class VIII students of the school, which caters to students residing in areas including Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, Shiv Vihar, and Nehru Vihar, “could not even recite the tables of seven.”

“The Kejriwal government had been making false claims on improving the education sector and schools in Delhi. This school exemplifies that there are schools in Delhi where infrastructure is absent and also exposes tall claims of the AAP government on reforms in education sector,” Mr. Goel alleged.

No response from AAP

No reaction was immediately available either from the Delhi government or the AAP. In Mustafabad, AAP has fielded party’s prominent leader Dilip Pandey against Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari.

Known locally as the “tin-wala school,” the Mustafabad school conducts classes in temporary classrooms and caters to over 2,100 girls and around 1,800 boys from Class VI to Class X in four shifts.

Mr. Goel claimed that he had offered ₹25 lakh for construction of classrooms for the school but the AAP government refused to accept or use it. “The AAP government did not accept my funds thinking it will benefit me politically,” he claimed.

Mr. Pradhan said that the land on which the school was running was embroiled in a legal dispute over ownership. “Another piece of land was available close to the school, but the Delhi government did not take steps to construct the school building there,” he claimed.

Challenges CM

Mr. Goel challenged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia to visit the school before making “any claim” on improvement of schools and education sector under their government.

Vice-principal of the school Anita Singh said that the education department had been apprised of the condition of the school.

Questioning the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s school reforms, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijay Goel on Tuesday alleged that a government school in Mustafabad was running two classes simultaneously from a large hall.

After visiting the school, Goel circulated photos in which students were seen sitting in two groups, each facing blackboards on the opposite walls of the hall. Goel said that the students belonged to different grades.

Vijay Goel, a union minister and Rajya Sabha MP, along with area MLA Jagdish Pradhan visited the school in Mustafabad, which falls in the northeast Delhi parliamentary constituency.

“We found that classes of different standards were being held under a single room thereby compromising the quality of the education being imparted,” he said.

According to Geol, the school has 2,100 girls and 1,800 boys enrolled, and the school runs in four shifts of two hours each. He said that while 70% students passed in Class 9th, the pass percentage of the school for class 10th was 19%.

“What could be worse than this? The education standard here is poor as Class 7 students of the school were unable to recite the tables of seven. Every day, one hour is wasted on attendance and mid-day meals so there is hardly any time left for studies and that is why the results are going down,” Goel said.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) of the Delhi government, which runs these 
schools, declined to comment on the matter.

Goel also said that hundreds of students of this school were “left in the lurch” as the city government had denied them readmission. Last week, the BJP leader had alleged that the education standard in the government schools have gone down as around five lakh students had failed (in various classes) in the past three years. He had also accused the government of “not giving readmissions” to most of the failed students.

“Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been announcing its achievements in the education sector for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. They say that they are seeking votes on their works done in the education and health sector so the reality of his tall claims should be revealed before the public,” Goel said.

विजय गोयल ने केजरीवाल पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि केजरीवाल बार-बार अपनी असफलता के लिए केंद्र को दोष देते हैं और कहते हैं कि केंद्र की मोदी सरकार ने उनको कुछ नहीं करने दिया। अगली बार फिर से केंद्र में मोदी सरकार बनेगी, आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार तो बन नहीं सकती और केजरीवाल फिर से चिल्लाएंगे। इसलिए जनता से अपील है कि वे केन्द्र और दिल्ली दोनों में भाजपा की सरकार बनाएं ताकि पूर्ण राज्य के दर्जे की समस्या न रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि जितना भ्रष्टाचार कांग्रेस की पिछली सरकारों में हुआ वह अब धीरे-धीरे सामने आ रहा है। उनका इशारा मध्यप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री कमलनाथ के निजी सचिव की तरफ था, जिनके यहां छापेमारी में बड़ी तादाद में नकदी प्राप्त की गई है। मोदी राज में कोई भी भ्रष्टाचारी बचकर नहीं निकल सकता।
